Ok all you fashionable bees, a not so trendy gal here needs your help (me).
So I’m 5’9 and of average weight. I wear a full 36C and my basic measurements are 39-bust, 32-waist, 40-hips. I like that I have the hour glass figure and love my hips and waist the most, makes me feel very womanly. I don’t have long legs but instead my height comes mostly from the upper torso. I don’t like to show off my belly and would like to make my legs appear longer without heels. I’m also 27 and would like to stay fashioned with my age group and not teens preferably. As you can see in the photo below, I’m even beach fashion impaired. My chest looks way smaller than it is and does not show hIps or waIst at all. More squared off or somethIng.
I have hazel eyes that are a mix of green and brown but mostly green. I don’t know how to show the green more or apply an eyeshadow that isnt over the top. My eyes always appear to be brown. I also have relatively high cheekbones but my face is round and doesn’t show them well which I would like to figure out. I have an olive skin tone and can’t for the life of me figure out what color lipstick to wear to not make it look over the top so I never wear any but would like to. Below is a photo I just took of me right out of bed without makeup. Please excuse the pimples, I’m nearing that monthly time.
Why it came out sideways I have no idea.also tips on accessorising would be great, I’m completely clueless. Oh and hair. I can pull off a bob well but am tired of it. I no longer have bangs and just shoulder length layered hair but wanna mix that up too, color style and cut.
So any ideas on a makeover, tips, anything at all please! I’m in a fashion funk and need out!

Is there a salon you can go to for hair cut and color?
as for fashion. I got a lot of help from the style sections in magazines like glamour and Cosmo. You can go to their websites to get tips from past magazines too.
deeps purples tend to make green eyes pop.
I learning everything I know about makeup from watching YouTube videos.

I’d suggest just searching for style ideas on pinterest. heres some that might help lengthen your legs, give you some easy summer style, and a cover up for the beach. I am also 5’9″ and i love summer for the dress options – I have tons in my closet! If you want help with makeup, mac will give you a free “makeover” if you spend $50 in product 🙂

mudgirl420: Oh I am also 5’9″ with a long torso and long neck, my legs are made for someone that’s 5’7″(man I wish I had longer legs).
I guess you can go with many styles when it comes to fashion. What type of clothes catch your attantion from first sight when you pass shop windows? A lot of poeple are drawn to some clothes, but always buy the safer option.
I think to legnthen your legs, you can go with some high waited options. Like long skirts and some pants.
For profesional pants, use ones that are boot cut. Sometimes I find skinny cut pants to help legnthen the legs, it does depend on if it fits properly all over.
As for your face, it looks like you have a oval face more then round, so many different styles will go with your faceshape. I think you should keep your hair long. 30 is the new 25, so you are still a young chick (I’m 26 and still feel 22 in some cases, lol). Maybe you should just get it layered at the salon and just keep it healthy.
Actually have you heard of balayage? It’s sort of a free handed highlight that looks really natural. I got it done for my hair and it looks incredible
(the right is what I am talking about, the left is ombre it’s a bit more youthful and a bit more bold)
Just shooting up an idea
