Hi all, helping a friend research possible wedding venues.  Does anyone have any experience or feedback on the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach?  Thanks!

I am getting married there this September and so far my experience has been amazing.  The staff there is very friendly and super helpful.  It was very important for me to find a venue that responded to me quickly and was friendly when answering all my questions.  They continue to exceed my expectations.  If your friend is looking for a location by the beach, it was the best value I found for what they offer.  I haven't had my wedding there yet but I feel very comfortable highly recommending them.

I've been there! On vacation though.  They really hooked us up with a gorgeous suite and a cute engagement package, b/c we were celebrating.  My personal experience has been more than positive.

I actually had a bad experience at the Hilton Waterfront. Gorgeous venue--though a obviously little older than the awesome Hyatt next door. But beware that they will try to nickle and dime you on everything. Their policies and nickle-and-diming was the only reason we booked with another venue.

We met with them twice to go over the contract/look at the venue but they had a lot of strange rules (especially if you wanted to use your own vendors for chairs/linens/lighting). In addition, they have the MOST EXPENSIVE bar I'd ever seen. And I think they require a wedding coordinator (it's in the contract so read it carefully).

Anyway, we didn't think it was worth all the hassle...PM me w/ any questions. Happy planning

A lot of stuff has been updated at the Hilton and they do allow outside vendors.  I am renting my own chairs and I was told this was perfectly fine.  They are actually more relaxed on restrictions than other wedding venues I have had experience with...and MUCH cheaper than the Hyatt!  The wedding coordinater is included in the ceremony cost and they have 4 or 5 you can choose from.  They give you assistance a month before the wedding and on the day of.  That policy recently changed.  You can also bring in your own coordinator and they will waive their fee for that service.
