I always hear lots of bees complaining that they lost their SO to Call of Duty, etc.. but I wonder if there are any women in the hive who will fess up to playing video games as well? Not necessarily COD, but any video games will do. I play more games than my husband does, and own three consoles. My husband prefers computer games. Right now I am playing Donkey Kong for Wii, Castle Crashers for PS3. Both very fun!
What are your favorite games to play?
Oooh, I love Castle Crashers! My favorites are Resident Evil and the Fable series :). Oh, and Mass Effect is awesome, too. I'm letting FI borrow my xbox for a few days, but then I'm playing ME2.
My FI is the gamer in our household, but he sometimes convinces me to play with him. He's a PC gamer so we're a World of Warcraft / League of Legends family lol.
We do own a PS3, but we use it more for movies than video games!
I like to play Sims 3 on PC. It's SUCH a fun game to play.
I also used to be a Club Pogo member. My FMIL bought me a year membership on the site and we used to play games together almost daily. I was in love with that website. So much fun. Then Facebook games got popular and my FMIL stopped playing on Pogo so I let my membership run out. :(
I guess I'm a casual gamer? I just tried the Xbox Kinect and fell in love, I could see myself getting addicted to that if we bought one.
Gamer here! I am playing the Donkey Kong for the Wii right now. I am in the "Factory" world and it's difficult :-/
Not sure if this counts, but I play Webkinz!! My baby sister got me into it a few years ago when she was in grade school, and now she has grown out of it but I still play!
I love Castle Crashers too. I don't play all the time but I like to play with my BF. We're working on the campaign on Halo Reach right now. Before Christmas we beat Kirby's Epic Yarn and Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Wii.
@MsJ26: Argh, the factory world! Those levels were so hard, even in the old versions of the game!
FI convinced me to start playing WoW when we first starting living together (after many a tearful argument). Now I sometimes think I like it more than he does!
Does Lego Harry Potter count? I will also play through Lego Pirates of the Carribbean when it comes out.
I used to be a WoW addict. Hardcore raider.
I refuse to touch the game now, I got so addicted it dominated my life! I literally used to scheduled my life around the game, rather than the game around my life.
XBOX360 makes me a happy camper. L4D and Bioshock especially. Love all Fables and Dead Space. I tried playing Resident Evil 5 with FH but that crap is hard! I like WATCHING any Silent Hills be played... to chicken to play them myself!
@MsJ26: Ok I guess I should say we've beaten it but not 100% completed it lol. We beat all the regular levels but going back to get everything for the secret levels is so hard! We haven't played since before Christmas so I don't know if we'll ever finish finding the secret ones. What about you?

I play a lot of games, have a PS2 and Wii, FI has an X-box, but he's more of a PC gamer. We used to play WoW, but stopped before Wrath of the Lich King. I've most recently played Epic Mickey and Lego Harry Potter. I love the Kingdom Hearts series, all of the Mario games and the Sims.
I like to play games a lot but I am not very good. It's probably because I've been spending less time on them. But I like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Left 4 Dead, Katamari Damacy and Halo.
I actually do play Call of Duty! I'm no good at the campaign but I can rock some zombies! I'm currently 3,500 out of 1,000,000 on one of the zombie leaderboards :) lol, I am slightly embarassed to say that!

I was really into Epic Mickey and super mario brothers when we first bought the game.
Hell yea! We're playing Resistance: Fall of Man right now, Reach before that, Fallout, love Mass Effect and Bioshock. I used to be really into RPGs, I love Kingdom Hearts and have played Final Fantasy 7-13 but now I'm getting tired of them. I love shooting me some zombies and aliens though! I'm better than FI, but don't tell him I said that :P I'm hoping to transition into the games industry when we move back east.
I play way too many games. I'm a pc and console gamer. When not at home i alwaysI have a psp, dsi and my iPhone on me. I've had to see therapist about my addiction. But honestly it's my life and I'll enjoy it ;)
Currently starcraft 2, new Settlers, fable 3 for pc out soon here. Just got dragon age 2....
I didn't mention this earlier but I am so excited for Diablo III!! Hopefully it comes out this year :)
FI got me hooked on WoW years ago, back during vanilla. We used to raid hardcore, especially during BC, but now we're more casual. Now between wedding planning & school I seem to find my interest in it waning...
So glad to see so many women gamers out there!
Some other favorites of mine include the Final Fantasy series and Legend of Zelda series. I am also trying to play Assassin's Creed 2 right now (so behind the times, considering there is another Assassin's Creed game out now).
@GI Josephine: playing COD is totally cool ;) I played a few times on PS3 - but I ended up playing the optional mission with the disturbing terrorsist content, and I haven't been able to pick it up since!
Me! Dh and I play together. We used to host LAN parties before he enlisted. I love the Fable series, The Elder Scrolls games, Diablo 1 & 2, The Sims, Fallout, Left 4 Dead, oh man... too many to name.
I cant wait for November, both Elder Scrolls 5 and (supposedly) Diablo 3 are coming out.

Mr. Dear installed a SimFarm emulator on my laptop. I looooved playing that when I was supposed to be paying attention in college.
OH. I also enjoy mixing booze and Band Hero or MarioKart.
I don't have any systems, but FI has a Wii, an Xbox 360, and the old school Nintendo (my favorite). We own Super Mario 2 and 3 (but I always have to be Luigi...lame). I like the Wii games, but he has Halo:Reach now for his 360 and I LOVE (but suck at) it. SWAT- I'd play it for hours (and kill very few people). Thank goodness he didn't get me a console and live membership for Christmas, I'd fail out of law school.
Does Plants vs Zombies on my iPhone count? lol I'm addicted!!! teehhee
Between us, FI and I own every Nintendo console/handheld ever made (in fact we have 2 original NES), the PS2 and PS3, and the XBOX 360. We both also have extensive game libraries on Steam.
FI definitely logs more total hours playing than I do, but when I play, I play. He's bouncing around between Final Fantasy 13 and Dead Rising 2 at the moment, and I'm currently working my way through Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and replaying Fable II before I jump on Fable III.
We're also playing Donkey Kong Country Returns and Kirby's Epic Yarn together :)
I am super duper excited for the next Zelda to come out!
My SO has an ever-expanding Steam account as well as what feels like hundreds of console games. I don't think I'm a WoW widow but there are times I would love to be able to cut our internet connection ;-)
He's gotten me into Fallout New Vegas (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em?) and we love to play Little Big Planet 2 together!
I LOVE Mario (any Mario game reallu) on the wii!! Also I am a big Halo fan!
I used to play a lot of Morrowind (xbox) and Oblivion, fable, dynasty warriors, N3, Bioshock, Halo3 & COD4(xbox360) but I've stopped playing as much in the past few years as I have a lot on my plate.
FI sold his xbox since he mostly plays on his pc, but he wanted to play COD Black Ops so I lent him mine for a few weeks. I miss it way more than I thought I would, lol. I just bought Mass Effect 2 and I'm dying to try it!
Seeing as one of our first few dates involved playing Super Smash Bros, I'll 'fess up to being a gamer girl. ;) We have a Wii and PS3, but prefer PC games. We used to play a ton of WoW. Vanilla through BC, but our free time is super limited as of late. I'm so itching to get the expansion and take my Paladin out of retirement...
@tartlet: Our first few dates involved playing Risk until 3 a.m. with my friends, so don't worry, yours isn't that nerdy! :).
I've never really gotten into PC gaming. I need to try it out.
@jo.lee: Ohhhhh, Risk is awesome! Along those lines, we used to play Settlers of Catan with my cousins, too. I never got into PC gaming until I met my FI; we were in a pseudo long-distance relationship and he suggested using WoW as a way of spending time together (sneaky, I know).
I haven't been playing much recently but I love playing COD; MW2; the Fear games; Fallout 3 and I've played a little of the new one; Borderlands; I guess anything really
