I’m not sure if I want to wear my glasses on my wedding day (they are purple plastic framed) or if I should just wear my contacts. Most occasions I just wear my contacts. I am leagally blind without either and won’t see anything (even my fincee). What did you do or are you going to do?

Definitely contacts. With jewelry and a veil, do you really want one more thing on your head? I go back and forth between glasses or contacts, and I’m wearing my contacts for this.

I wear my glasses almost every day since they’re just so much more comfortable, but I do wear my contacts for special occasions. I definitely did wear my contacts on my wedding day. I didn’t want anything on my face impeding my eye makeup, or the rest of my wedding day look, etc. Glasses for me are good for a routine day, but not a special occasion.

I wore my glasses and I’m glad I did but I don’t ever wear contacts. I was more comfortable than I would have been if I had tried contacts and I don’t think they took away from the rest of my look at all.

I think if you always wear glasses, you should wear your glasses. But if you’re used to wearing contacts and people are used to seeing you in them, might as well wear them on your wedding day – there are lots of little reasons not to wear glasses, including that your eye makeup won’t be as visible, there might be glare in photos, and it can be hard to coordinate glasses and veil.

I will wear my glasses. I think I look hideous without them (and no, not just because I can’t see my face in the mirror without them lmao). Also, I have worn them every day since I was 5 or 6 years old…I don’t know life without them.

I’ll probably be struggling to pop in my contacts before my wedding, I’m still not very good at putting them in. I wear glasses all the time except for special occasions. I’ll probably switch to glasses after all the photos.
You look beautiful with both though, so I don’t think you can go wrong.

Glasses all the way. I wouldn’t be me on my wedding day if I wasn’t wearing glasses. I’ll be wearing a vintage reproduction dress on my wedding day so I am thinking about getting a new pair before the day. I’m thinking about getting the Tiffany cat eye glasses or an actual pair of 1950’s cat eye glasses off Etsy.

I did both sort of. lol Well mostly for the ‘official’ ceremony I forgot my glasses in the bridal room and didn’t realize it until it was time to walk down the aisle. I wore them for both my legal ceremony and my ‘official’ wedding reception though.

ahhh sorry but glasses ruin wedding photos just my opinion.. I wear them every day but i am definately wearing contacts on my wedding day.. these photos you pay heaps of money for are photos ur going to look back on for years and years and you don’t want your beautiful eyes and eye makeup disguised by glasses!

I personally think you look beautiful in glasses. Most people do, it’s kind of an outdated childhood belief that it makes people look nerdy. When you grow up, you realize it contributes to the beauty. It enhances your gorgeous eyes and who doesn’t like feeling and looking a little “smarter” but really it’s whatever makes you feel comfortable.
I love glasses on people, even myself. If mine didn’t break and I could afford to get new ones, I’d be rocking them down the isle for sure.

I’m going to wear contacts, but I’m not going to be happy about it! I wear glasses everyday, and contacts really irritate me, but I really dont want to wear my glasses on my wedding day. They’re statement glasses, and wouldn’t look right with a wedding dress.

I am unable to wear contacts. So either I will walk down the aisle blind or with my glasses

I wore my contacts. I think I look a million times better in them and if my perscription weren’t so expensive I would wear them every day! I don’t regret it for one second either.
