Hi girls!

I've been on ring frenzy as fiance and i have put off getting the e-ring till we had more of our wedding expenses finalized (he proposed with a "placer" ring). We are finally approaching the final months and have a good "guestimate" about our guest count (which would be the biggest swing in money), and I'm just getting SUPER excited about finally getting my ring! eee!! :D

I've been really into colored stones, especially yellow! Be it yellow sapphire, yellow diamond, citrine or even canary yellow moissanite (i have not see ANYONE with one yet and I'm super curious).  I'm hoping some bees here have some beautiful pieces of sunshine to show off.

I'm dying here researching all my ring options and need some inspiration! Thanks girls! Post away!!

@orangepeel: ooh, I LOVE that 2nd one. The bezel/gold color brings out the orange so nicely.  i just love the yellow/orange stones. Sunshine and sunset colors captured in a tiny stone!  Thanks so much for posting this. I'm quite an etsy addict and I didn't think to look through there. I'm just surprised there isn't more brides here with yellow gemstone e-rings!  I guess I'm unique in wanting one hehe =]

I don’t have a yellow stone ring—but my blue diamond engagement/wedding rings are from D.NEA, which sells blue and yellow lab-created diamonds. They are diamonds (with the same chemical makeup, etc) and not stimulants, but are grown in a lab rather than mined from the earth. The yellow diamonds from D.NEA are generally priced just a little bit less than comparable white diamonds—so much cheaper than mined yellow diamonds, but more expensive than other yellow gemstones.

This is the setting of my engagement ring, but mine has a lighter blue diamond in the middle and two darker blue sidestones.

@ninjajane: Thanks! All three of my stones are blue, but my middle stone is a lighter shade of blue than the sidestones. My wedding band also has lighter blue diamonds that match the center stone of my e-ring.

i actually am waiting very anxiously to post my new ering, but i need it back first!! i'm so excited!! i have crappy iphone photos, but im holding off till i can get clearer camera photos before i post ^_^

@ninjajane: In LOVE with your ring! My sis came over the other day and we were talking about canary diamonds and I showed her your ring. We both agree it has got to be the most amazing canary diamond and setting ever! Wear it proudly for all of us!

@KatNewby: thank you sooooo much!! :D Your post really made me smile! i agree, i think the setting really makes the yellow pop even more. and i know its hard to tell from the pictures, but the setting is actually yellow gold too (the prongs really blend in with the stone) - so i think that helps make it look like it floating in the setting hehe

@ninjajane: Oh that IS nifty & you're right, I didn't notice! I love little hidden details about rings that make the truly special :] I have recently realized that I love double halo's and I like dainty split shanks like yours as well! I think I wouldn't have the courage to go split shank just because I have seen so many split shanks that I don't think are executed as nicely as yours. Another split shank that I lovee is lanany10, don't know if you've seen hers..

My fiance used a yellow sapphire that belonged to his great-great grandmother. We had the setting made at a jeweler in Northern Virginia. I cannot overemphasize how much I love my ring!

@bostongirl2: Thats very pretty! I'm digging the citrine cut :] Looks a little like checkerboard cut but that might just be the slag name for what I think it looks like.

All of these rings are so beautiful! This is one of my dream rings for sure!
