Really listen to the words to the song though. I dont think I would suggest it.

but at the end of the day it is YOUR wedding, do what you feel.

Major “Gleek” here! I was thinking the same thing, but then I actually read through the lyrics and was like “wow…okay, maybe not.” It isn’t vulgar or anything, just…well, I don’t know, lol. But its your guy’s wedding!

Another idea; maybe you could just play the instrumental version?

I like the glee version (such a Glee fun- I also like their Soul Sister version more than Train’s, lol) but to me that song is kind of saying that getting married is a dumb thing to do- or am I the only one getting that from the song???

I think entrance songs can be fun and silly.  Go for it girl!!!

No one at the wedding is going to be reading the lyrics…..plus peole tend to ‘read into’ slow song lyrics more.  The feeling that the Glee show had was perfect for an entrance.

This Gleek says: do it!!!

I love that song too! I decided I’m going to play it at the reception but not have it as a designated song for anything :).

I absolutely love the song, but some of the lyrics don’t have that amazing feel that the song overall gives.  Like the marriage is a dumb thing and the one that’s harder to catch if you don’t listen to the song all the time like my hubby and I do – where it says that they can “break up” if they wake up and decide it was wrong.

I’m torn though.  I think had the song been out prior to my wedding, I would have had it – at least at the reception.  🙂  I’m just annoyed that they had to put those negative thoughts into such a fun and otherwise beautiful song.

I thought the same thing at first, but like you…some of the lyrics bothered me. So I am going to play it at the reception…with a ton of other glee songs!

I’ve got to jump on the bandwagon with other PPs to play it at the reception, but not be designated for anything. My FI and I love the song, too … just not all of the lyrics.

But – it’s your day, so you two do whatever is best for you!

We had it as our entrance to the reception! It was a lot of fun. Yeah, besides the chorus the words aren’t the best… but, oh well.
