Maybe I’m looking at the wrong stores, but I can’t seem to find any deals that look amazing for baby stuff. Kmart is going to have a travel system for $99, but we’ve already purchased a stroller. Kmart also has a bouncer and a high chair for $35 each but those don’t seem like that great of a deal.
Are baby items just not common on BF? This would be my first year shopping for them, so I don’t know. Has anyone found any deals they’re particularly excited about?

@swanks4tw: I’ve been doing some searching on Babycenter and all of those forums and it looks like Babies R Us is a really good one to check out. I’ll update my post with any more that I find 🙂

I have been looking for deals as well, haven’t seen much yet. Thanks for starting this post!

A few years ago I went to Babies R Us very early on Black Friday. They had some great deals piled by the front door, and the store was devoid of shoppers. Seems like it would be an easy place to get some great early-bird deals.

I am curious about this as well.

So this is our Black Friday plan so far!
At 5pm WalMart has the Graco Spree Classic Connect travel system on sale for $99. It is regularly $155. It is on their 1-hour in-stock guarantee so we’re not worried about fighting lines. If they run out before 6pm we’ll get a rain check and they guarantee it will be in before Christmas. Here’s the ad http://blackfriday.com/stores/walmart/flyers/black-friday/page-11
We went and looked at it in the store and it looks pretty nice. It’s Graco so it’s not top of the line by any means, but I think Graco is pretty trustworthy. We called DH’s grandma since she told us SHE wanted to buy us our stroller since that’s what she’s bought for Dh’s other cousins. We gave her the price (plus the cost of an extra base) and I nervously said that we totally understand if it’s out of her budget and we don’t expect her to get it for us. Her response was “Are you crazy!? I spent $300 on the other girls. I’m putting a check for $150 in the mail today and then you’d better find $150 to spend on something else!” LOVE HER!
After Wal-mart I think we’re going to go back home to my parents’ house for pie and the Christmas name drawing 🙂 Then we’ll sleep a bit and head out to Babies R Us around 4. They open at 5am and they have some decent deals but nothing we’re especially wowed by. I’m interested to see if there will be more on sale in store than what’s in their ad since the ad is only two pages in the Toys R Us ad. The $10 diapers look like a good deal but DH asked if it was more common for babies to be allergic to cheaper diapers and I’m really not sure. Our nephew can’t wear the store-brand diapers because he’s allergic. Is this common? I would hate to buy a bunch of diapers/wipes that the baby won’t end up being able to use.
Anyone else find some good deals? Or maybe there’s something in the Babies R Us ad that I’m not realizing is actually a really good deal?
