FI was telling me that it was reported that the sales this year were horrible and no one really saved. I was hoping to find that 50" tv (1080P) for FI, but no one is selling them at good prices. They're still pretty damn high. Only the 720ps are cheap-ohs, but that's also because most people don't buy them anymore. FI is a tech-savvy snob.

I'm pretty sure "The Bay" (Husdon's Bay Co.) is a Canadian thing, but my mom bought new luggage for my FI today at 75% off! It's really nice, too. No more me getting the "big suitcase" and him getting the "little one" for the honeymoon! Haha.

I haven't seen anything good anywhere. Last year I bought a ton of stuff but I haven't seen the deals that I saw last year.
I just went to Famous Footwear's website and got two pair of shoes. They were buy one, get one 50% off + take an additional 20% off the total + free shipping. I ended up paying less for two pairs of shoes than I usually would for one.
I just bought three presents on Kohls.com for $50 (originally $68). A cologne set, Phillies t-shirt, and a nice long sleeved thermal shirt. Can't beat that. =) I just now hope that he doesn't see this post. Hahaha.
I LOVE that deal! They run it about 3x a year, it's the only time we buy shoes.
I have a pair of boots I want to get that's on there same price as another site so I'm waiting till tonight to see if my husband wants to get a pair online.
@SleepingWithNuns: If you are getting something out of it like a reward, then it is considered self promotion. We have thousands of members who use this site and it's not fair that you can 'use' the members of a site to get a $10 reward or whatever the reward is. I know with groupon, if 3 people sign up for the same deal, you get that deal for free. It's the same thing with contests links, you can't tell members to vote for you in a contest. It had gotten out of hand in the past, which is why we made up the rule.
Agreed on the sales not being that great this year.
I was all ready to purchase our new fridge this weekend but the sales were blah. We were keeping an eye on pricing before BF so that we would know if it was a good deal. And yeah the BF deal was the same it's been for months prior.

Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic are all 30% off. I think there's discounts on Piperlime and Athleta, too. I'm pretty sure Ulta has some deals too, but they're not awesome.

@MissPumpkinPie: One of my coworkers bought her son a bunch of toys on walmart.com before black friday...she looked online at the sales this weekend and the prices went up!!! Im so glad I only bought $3 DVDs from target this year.

@MsNarwhal: That's absolutely disturbing. We should not have one designated day for sales anymore. Too many people are getting hurt. Have you read about the grandfather that was slammed to the ground by a cop? All he was doing was trying to protech his grandson (which I don't know why he had him there anyways). Women pepper spraying people? Pathetic.
@MissPumpkinPie: The pepper spraying woman is local to the area too. Its really really sad. People bring their kids to these things without even thinking!! First off..don't bring your kid to walmart in a semi-shady area at midnight with a bunch of people who are thug life...second DONT PEPPER SPRAY PEOPLE FOR A WII! Its not even that great!
