    Hi all,

I have been looking for something a bit unique when it comes to walking down the aisle. I don't want to go the usual classical route or wedding march, I want something fun and something that speaks to our musical taste. I am looking for suggestions for something in the alternative or Indie genre that is romantic and slow and I can walk down the aisle too. Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Erika

Use whatever music you like. Are there any artists or songs in particular you like?

We're using 'Walking On A Dream' by Empire Of The Sun.  Awesome song and super appropriate lyrics following just getting married!  :D

We were introduced at the reception to Arcade Fire No Cars Go.  The lyrics aren't really connected to anything but the instrumental part is so uplifting.

We're using The Album Leaf, but you could also look into Telefon Tel Aviv. Both completely different than anything main stream but some really romantic movie type songs with a little bit of an electronic twist. I'm  having my bridal party walk down to "streamside" and i'm walking to "another day" both by The Album Leaf. Give it a listen!

I think we're using "Book of Love."  I love Peter Gabriel's version and Nataly Dawn's version, but I think we're going with Nataly Dawn's version!

My favorite is "The Ludlows" from Legends of the Fall.. I've also seen the music from Pride and Prejudice used before.. I'm walking down to Adele's "Make You Feel My Love"

Like @JennHasFeet, we're probably going to use the Album Leaf, or maybe Tristeza, or maybe Sigur Ros. Something dreamy and pretty and instrumental.

    Angel - Jack Johnson

I am walking to Truly, Madly, Deeply... an instrumental by Ray LaMontagne. It's serene.

I'm processing to VSQ's version of Imagine by John Lennon. We're also using Atlantic by Thrice. Beautiful song.

That version of Truly, Madly, Deeply mentioned above is GORGEOUS.

We also considered Vanilla Twilight by Owl City.

It isn't very alternative anymore, but when I read your question, my mind immediately went to "Yellow" by Coldplay. It has just enough of a beat to walk and has a slight urgency, which will help build up to the moment when you are there.

@MandyW - I am also walking down to Peter Gabriel's "Book of Love"

A song that we have really been liking lately is Obediah Parker's version of "Hey Ya." It's different and it is a popular song but with a big twist.
