I’d probably just use a plain straight band!

I think a thin bezel or channel set band would be really pretty!

So pretty! Did SO pick it out by himself? I always assume that women pic the unique rings because it would be really brave of a man to pick such a unique ring. Anyway, it’s so pretty. It looks custom

Anyway, my fave custom company is Schubach. They’re among the best yet their prices are low. They hsve a huge gallery of their custom work on their site.

@hgwells:  This is a horrible Picsart drawing of the band I’d have made, so bear with me, but I’d do something like this:

Also, can you show us a pic of the band you don’t like or want so we know what you don’t want it?

@hgwells:  yup, I’m sure that’s it. She may have picked something she’d like for herself too. Did you get her a ring? If so, what did you get her?

Btw, if you like the design I created on Picsart, you can email that horrible drawing to Schubach and they’d give you an estimate for making it. They’re really flexible and great to work with. Btw, I don’t own Schubach or know anyone who works there lol. I just think they’re the best, especially since thyll work with any stone unlike most custom designers who will only work with diamonds

Such a nice engagement story!! So you both proposed…and I find the rings have a nice ressemblance, with the bypass element.  🙂

My ideas:

-straight diamond band to add sparkle 😉

-a contour band like the pic you posted of the set, but I would have it made in rose gold!! This would add a distinction from the bypass shank of your e-ring. I would also have diamonds added to the rose gold band 🙂

-your ring makes me think of these two wedding bands from Zales:

For my e-ring, I went to Zales and dealt with the jeweler that works at that particular store. My sales girl is awesome, and the jeweler is quite talented, and he built exactly what I wanted. I had to approve drawings and wax models first, and it turned out perfect.

@_always__:  Nice drawing!! I like the introduction of diamonds that match the size of those in the e-ring.

@hgwells:  Wow! Her ring is pretty too. I love that they coordinate but don’t match.

Yeah, that band is way too boring and plain to be $900. I wouldn’t pay more than $300 or so for that ring.

I love the idea of doing the band in colored gold like another Bee suggested. most people don’t want colored gold though, but I love it.

If you do send that drawing to Schubach, let us know the price they give you and post updates of the progress for whatever ring you have made.  There aren’t enough bees that share an inside look at the custom process.
