We have a patio that’s exposed to the elements and there’s a layer of moss all over it. It’s a pretty large area (maybe 30 feet by 10 feet) and I have no idea how to remove it.
Is there anything I can put on it that will cut the moss? Or is my only option to scrub it down?
I’d like it to be non-toxic, because we have a dog back there that spends most of it’s day on those bricks.
I read online that I can power-wash it… has anyone had any sucess doing so – or any other ideas on how to remove moss?

Yes, Powerwashing works great…my dad does our patio every year, it gets all the moss and leaves the brick looking great! and I am pretty sure you can rent them from home depot.

@Calawrence: Thank you! …I’ll be adding that to my laundry list of ‘to do’s’ for this weekend!

I just pour boiling water on the moss on our patio. Yours is much larger though.

@julies1949: oh! I might try that – it’s worse in some spots than others … and that would be much easier than breaking out a pressure washer!
