Yay! We're getting married on July 3rd too! I'm waiting until after the new year to send out my STDs. I was going to send them out last week but was nervous they'd get lost in the holiday craziness. We JUST booked our venue on Friday. Still need to get a dress, bm dresses, flowers, photographer, dj, .... whew! lots to do! but I can't wait!
I'm getting married on July 3, 2010 also! Being from central Louisiana, I am extremely concerned with the heat and keeping guests, wedding party, myself...comfortable and cool. We are getting married at my church, but are still debating reception sites.
Can I get an AMEN for July brides?! 
Any other July 3rd brides having trouble with hotel room blocks? We're getting married in Pittsburgh and many of the hotels seem retistent to give discounts (because of the holiday) or they are already booked! Very frustrated. My FI thinks we should just reschedule - our contract isn't signed yet. I feel like I've invested a ton of time already planning. I don't know what to do!!!
WOW. Less than 6 months... yikes! Still so much to do, so little time!!! At the same time, I'm super-excited! Aaaaahhh!!!
I've been engaged for a year, but really procrastinated until a few months ago about any planning.... July 3rd it is though!! It seems to be approaching really fast - at least for me!

How is planning going for everyone?
Crazy! I finally feel like everything is coming together - just more details now than big stuff. We have all our vendors booked (except a dance floor) and my bridesmaids are getting me their final votes on dresses so we can order them by the end of the month.Oh, we don't have final ok from our officiant either but i have another friend I can ask if he's not available.
I can't believe it's 5 1/2 months but I also secretly wish it was next week! :) Other july 3 bees??
My last big thing to handle is to figure out flowers. I can't believe I'm getting married in a few months!!!
@meremarty: totally agree! I'm so frustrated with these hotels who think they're hot stuff just b/c it's July 4th weekend! Excuse me, but July 4th is more like a stay at home, BBQ with the fam kind of holiday IMO. Oh well, my hope is that when it gets closer to the date they will see their rooms aren't booking up as much and they will give the preferred rates. But then again closer to the date will be too close...ppl want to book now! Grr...
5 months ladies!! Now we have to actually DO the things we've been PLANNING to do in the past months.
Another July 3rd bee here... We're getting married on a beach and then having the reception at a near by pavillion in central Florida so I'm super concerned about rain and heat!! We're doing things fairly casual but I still feel like there's so much so do and I'm a little over my head right now... Anyone else doing a outdoor or bbq type reception- would you mind posting your menus?? Thanks!
Can you believe its the 5 month mark this week!! :))) My FI just booked our Hawaiian honeymoon tonight!! Where is everyone going for their honeymoon??

@Miss Farmer - Our honeymoon is planned by FI is keeping a secret. All he has told me is I need a nice cocktail dress, a bathing suit and my passport!! Can't wait! Hawaii sounds really exciting! That's definetly on my list of places to go sometime soon!

Yup, exactly 4 more months!!! I can't believe it! No wonder my stress level has been a little higher than usual.
July 3rd 2010 here too. We got engaged on July 4th 2009. I know I should be more active in losing weight and exercising but lately there has been no time (seriously).
I still have not got my dress, although it has been ordered. I am a little stressed about that but everything else is going pretty good
@FutureMrsAwesome - I haven't received my dress yet either but I don't expect it until May. I can't believe we are under 4 months!!
@ SoonToBeMrsV - when I ordered my dress she told me at the latest May 1st. We are going to be under the gun if we need alterations lol.
@SoonToBeMrsV and @FutureMrsAwesome, my dress won't be here until the second wk of June, but I'm not too nervous yet. However, I'm secretly hoping that it comes eariler and the order is not messed up and it comes much later!

Nice to see your postings...I'm getting married in France, and trust me, I totally relate with all the stress and the insomnia!
So far, my dress has come in already (flying home in May for the first fitting), sent out the save the dates last month, and we're waiting on our invitations (yeah, i know it's a little late, but the STD's really saved us!). We've got the reception, the church, the DJ, the cake, and the caterer taken care of.
All that's left is organizing the wedding party, photographer, and decorations...
Can't believe we have 3.5 months to go...Where has the time gone?

@ Worry Wort - I have the same worry about my dress but I hear stories about dresses coming in early all the time... so hopefully it will be true for all of us!!
Back home this weekend and finalized the music for the ceremony and our catering menu and I had my first shower! Since I live nearly 3000 miles away I'm really happy that nearly all of our guests gave me gift cards or cash (or had my gift shipped!)Anyone else have a shower yet?
I finally got the invitations picked this past weekend and I'm getting very close to booking our florist.
I'm not having my shower and bachelorette party until June because of my schedule. I can't wait!

We have 95 days left! Almost to the 3 month mark!
We booked our honeymoon almost as soon as we set the date, to avoid holiday setbacks. Flowers have been picked, my girls dresses have been ordered as well as all the groomsman's and ushers tuxes, invitations are ready to be sent, and we are registered. WHEW!

I too am a July 3rd bride here in Miami, FL. I am super amped about the upcoming wedding!!! I'm so happy to have finally found a place wherein other brides can relate to my stress as the is vastly approaching. It might seem a bit strange but I'm doing a Winter Theme "Christmas in July". I happen to love the winter season but too love the 7+3=10...thats so neat, lol.
How are you ladies dealing with the stress now that we only have 3 little months left??? Cuz I'm totally freakin out, lol.
Also, how involved are your soon to be hubbies? What responsibilites did you give him?

Mr. Awesome has done well as far as wedding participation. He handled all the invitation list and printing out our envelopes. I can get a maybe get a yes or no on decor questions but for the most part its me doing the leg work.
I am mildly concerned that my dress is still not here but still pretty calm on the wedding front. I can not believe that we have less than 3 months to go, HOLY CRAP!!!
