I heard of those $4 flights and that they sold out in hours.  Haha, thank goodness I don’t have to deal with that mess!

ETA  Good luck for those driving though!

Wow I didn’t even think about weddings!  I read a press release from UCLA and they are having doctors stay in the dorms for the weekend…also some maintenance personnel.  I think they’ve done enough to let ppl know so Im thinking it might not be so bad as long as ppl stay home~!

I live in Woodland Hills and go to the west side pretty often to eat!  But this weekend we’re planning to just walk over to the local movie theater and watch Harry Potter, and work on our escort cards and pick up his pants from Men’s Wearhouse.  lol

I think her wedding is going to work out perfectly as so many people are just staying off the streets. Traffic is really light everywhere this morning. And c’mon – she’s getting married in Bel Air – is life really that difficult? lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I agree, I think the wedding plans will work out fine for today. I am happy to report that so far (mid-day Saturday) Carmaggedon hasn’t really caused any headaches at all. I drove across town earlier today on I-10 (from West side to Monteray Park – I was craving dim sum, hehe) and it took me 30 min..which is unheard of (past 405 – the freeway that’s shut down). I think people here are so freaked out no one is going out or they are just staying in their own neck of the woods, there was light traffic on the highways and everyone was moving at regular speeds, and it wasn’t crowded. So I think, at least so for today, anyone getting married or having guests arrive into LAX it isn’t going to be that bad, at least thats not what I am seeing so far….I think the pain of the freeway shutdown won’t be felt until probably Monday morning….that will be the real test then to see if construction is completed on time. If not, Monday morning will probably be a nightmare to get to work for Los Angelinos. Keeping fingers crossed. 🙂
