@futuremrscisek: I am!! I live in Henderson, but am getting married at Springs Preserve- May 25, 2012. I know it's been 2 months since you've posted- so let me know about vendors you've used also- but I'm using VegasBanana photography (laura graves is super nice), and I've narrowed down my cupcake person to one and my minister I'm pretty sure, but I don't want to put there names till it's in stone. I still need help with florists! It's been more difficult than I thought in a town of weddings! Everything is so tacky here. What have you been doing?
@futuremrscisek: If you are looking for a Las Vegas wedding coordinator, let me know. I can help you with all of that.

I'm getting married at the Mirage so I'm not really using any outside vendors but I'm in love with Deacon Tyler's photography.
I live in California but my wedding is in Vegas. A couple of months ago I went to a bridal show there. I believe they are having another on January 20 at the Cashmen Center (not really sure if this is the correct name of the location). While there I got a lot of information for all the necessary vendors. I believe it cost $15 but I did get slot of info. Hope this helps
@Aure: omg I think it was on one of your posts that I saw Deacon Tyler's web site - because of you we booked him!!!! It's going to cost more than our entire reception :os lol, but I guess it's worth it, everyone says one of their bigger regrets was not paying more for better photography. Thanks for sharing that!!!
btw, we're doing a Vegas wedding (planning from Seattle area but I grew up in So Cal). Haven't picked a venue yet but hopefully in the next 2 weeks we'll finally decide! We have a photographer and a dress, though, lol
@MadameTussaud: You're welcome! I really love his pictures, unfortunately I waited too long to nail down a date and I then picked one that's too popular. I am getting the photog who did my e-pics to do our wedding though, which is awesome! I hadn't thought she'd be able to do it because she's moving out of state and her wedding is the week before mine but it all worked out.
@Aure: bummer that you can't use Deacon, but glad to hear you have just as good of an option!
Where is everyone having their receptions at? I'm so all over the place I can't seem to figure it out. Plus, I'm trying to keep it under $50/plate (the lower the better) but still have a fun atmosphere and good food.
@MadameTussaud: Check out Firefly on Paradise. They're food is sooooo good and pretty inexpensive. It's a block off the strip. Maggiano's is also a good, popular option.
@Aure: Thanks for the tip - we're flying down in a couple more days, so I'll be sure to add that to the list of places to check into. So far your advice has done well for us
@MadameTussaud: We're getting married at Caesar's Palace and having the reception at Lawry's the Prime Rib after. Definitely look into Lawry's for your reception.. their plated dinners start at around $50 or so... and it's an AMAZING deal if you think about the quality of food. They also have a VIP program where you get a $25 gift card for every $250 you spend and it applies to weddings too! I've heard of brides getting forty $25 gift cards in the mail a few months after the wedding. They're great for small gifts or you can just become regulars at your local Lawry's. ;)
On another note, we're planning on doing cupcakes and a small 6 inch cake on the top for us instead of having a full wedding cake. Any recommendations for cupcake places? We're leaning towards Retro Bakery (http://www.retrobakerylv.com/) at the moment.
My wedding ceremony and reception will be at Canyon Gate Country Club. Its's about 20 mintues off the strip. I found the site when I went to Vegs for the bridal show. My plan was to get married at one of the hotels on the strip but I fell in love with this place. I actually signed the contract without my fiancé seining the place! He said if I felt this was the place then book it. Lucky for me he loved the place when he finally saw the location.
