My dream ring was from Laurie Sarah but FI ended up insisting on a diamond e-ring so we didn't end up going with her. Unfortunately, I cant give you a review but I can tell you that she was very easy to work with while I was inquiring about the custom ring process. She was quick to respond and has followed up a few times since I first inquired. Her jewelry is absolutely breathtaking!
Here was "my" lovely. Maybe FI will buy it for me as an aniversary ring down the road. Sigh...

I drool over her rings about every week or so but we can't afford anything she sells. Maybe one day!
i also love her rings. but one thing scared me away. she has a statement that sais because she hand makes them there are some visable flaws. i am a perfectionist and i know that would bother me. so i am going with someone else. but she is nice and she did help me out alot. :)
I saw that too! That's kind of why I wanted the "real life" pics! Also, I have in my head Mrs. Octopus post about her custom ring saga. I think her work is so beautiful, though - esp that andesine and diamond ring.
She lives in Los Angeles, as do I. I wonder if she has a boutique somewhere.

My little heart fluttered when I saw this thread. I love Laurie Sarah rings :) Especially her yellow sapphire's that I would KILL to have!
MINE IS!!!! I JUST GOT IT. I will say that there are a few spots that are slightly "off". AND I had to search for those however its fabulous and she is great to work with my stones are great. I just spent the last half hour drooling over shiny objects! She's got some serious talent at making gemstone jewellery.
Am seriously considering asking if she could do my band .... but it doesn't look like she deals in moissanite stones, just diamonds?
That'd be a major bummer if she doesn't.
Actuall @bebefly I think she does do moissanite or at least has in the past because when i first discovered her this summer I saw some and had never heard of moissanite before and had to google it.lol I remember weird things like that.\

My FI worked with her for 2 months in creating my custom ring. I initially told my FI that I wanted a yellow sapphire ring with a diamond halo. After looking for a few months for a that type of ring, he couldn't find anything that he knew I would like and so he asked for some suggestions.
I came across Laurie Sarah on Pricescope and suggested her to my FI. My FI actually went with one of the settings she already had, he just had to pick out the stone which ended up taking the longest time. Because he knows that I'm particular, he went through 16 or 17 stones just to get the right one.
Through the whole process, she was a pleasure to work with (in the words of my FI). Towards the end of it, she even called me to say how great things were going and that she just wanted to make sure that everything was perfect.
With that being said, I ended up with a ring that was more beautiful than I ever expected. Below is a picture that doesn't even do it justice. It sparkles like the dickens.

Side note: I'm now drooling over all her rings also! I spent about 20 minutes yesterday lusting over all of her rings...especially those with pink sapphires in them!

@LaurenViolet: The black diamond is beautiful! I've never seen them before except on her site. SO awesome!! Let me ask you about the imperfections - are they visible to the naked eye, or do you really have to examine it to see them?

oh no the only thing is underneath my ring like where the stone sits it has like a flower shape and goes into a point one of the "points" isnt as pointy as the others....also my claw prongs one is slightly less pointy as well I noticed at first but honestly idk which one it is anymore. haha
I worked with her for my wedding band. I had problems to find a ring. I gave her very strict guidelines (height, look, the 4 Cs...) and what I got was perfection! She was a pleasure to work with!

I got my ring end of April 2011 ! Love love love it! It is a scary process trusting someone you have never met to create your ring. I would highly reccommend Laurie Sarah Designs. My ring took almost exactly 3 weeks to get to me, start to finish. It was all custom. Laurie was so nice over the phone. She even used a diamond I already had for my center stone. It is a .87 ct center stone and has two bands! The only thing that made it a little frustrating is I got emails from many different people who work for her, but overall, that is super picky and everything was great! If you are a perfectionist, you probably won't be able to enjoy this work of art. It is hand made and although only you can notice the slight imperfections, it may bother you. I have to look at my ring everyday and I notice the imperfections, but none of them bother me. I get compliments all the time on how sparkly and beautiful my ring is! If you want to know please, just ask!

Mine's a LS and I'm actually beginning another project with her in September. She's a doll.
Wow these are all gorgeous! But I love halos and colors and split shanks, so I could just maybe be a bit biased :-P.

I just wanted to add my new Laurie Sarah ring to this thread. I am absolutely taken away by the quality and beauty of this ring, and it is just perfect for me. It's an upgrade from my original tanzanite e-ring, and luckily my wedding bands fit with the new ring!!! It's like it was meant to be. Laurie and her team were amazing to work with. My husband had already bought the tanzanite, so we shipped it overnight and I had the completed ring within 2 days!

I love LS rings. I've lusted over KatyElle's ring since I joined the bee (that's how I first heard about LS) and that tanzanite is stunning. All of her rings are. I hope more bees post pics.
