Yesterday I ordered some green and white striped paper straws for our mojitos (our signature drink) and I was super excited and it kind of renewed my excitement for the wedding. I know they’re just a small purchase and not necessary at all, but finding them (which was tough since they seem to mostly come in blue and pink) was such a rush! haha.
Anything little you’ve done or purchased that was exciting like this??

Yay for you! But…this is probably going to sound stupid but…how do paper straws work? Don’t they like, disolve in liquid? Is it some special kind of paper?

I had those same straws!!!!! I was obsessed with them forever and then whoever set up my reception messed it up! I also forgot to tell my photographer to get a picture of them so make sure you do so!!! You can see them behind the boys in this picture and thats about it – I was so sad lol

@veganglam: I dont know HOW they work, but they definitely work. I tested them out beforehand and saw guests using them throughout the night. Also I have a lot leftover and every now and then will have a drink with a wedding straw! They are more like cardboard thickness but they are awesome!!! And they were very cheap!

I actually spent all day Monday making beverage stirrers. I got the idea from the episode of Oprah with Martha Stewart. It’s kind of silly, but I’m so incredibly excited about them!

@veganglam: Haha I actually don’t know…I’m guessing they’re durable enough to work because they allegedly used to use them all the time back in the day. lol.
@jo.lee: Sweet! I love those! They look great! How did you do them?
