Well, not married yet, but I am in a serious committed relationship with a single gown.
But I kinda like to look, yes. ;)
Yeah a little. My friend is getting married and I went with her to look at dresses. I was trying to be involved but the whole time I just kept thinking, "I want to try on dresses too!" LOL.
Yeah.... I completely want to go and try them on again.
Me too! I keep looing at wedding websites and magazines. I loved my dress but they have come out with some really pretty ones I want to try on. Thank goodness the closest dress shop is far away. lol
I think there should be another major event where we get to do this all again! Even when we renew our vows we aren't supposed to wear a big gorgeous wedding dress. Which I think is stupid. I want to wear another super sparkly, poofy, lacy, dress!
I say you all come down to Texas and we go to the most expensive dress salon we can find. One where they serve champage and bon bons on big comfy chairs and we each take turns trying on dresses.
Yes! I would also love to try on dresses and just admire how flattering they are without worrying about finding the right one - I definitely wish I had tried on more styles and not rushed through it because I knew what I want. I am sure I would have ended up in my dress, I wish I could it again, but I wish I had had more fun with the process!
I absolutely, positively hated wedding dress shopping, but I would LOVE to go now!!!! :) :)
I've considered going to a bridal store, pretending I'm engaged, and trying on more dresses. That's how much I would LOVE to try on more gowns. I never got to try on very many gowns, because I had to buy off the rack (wedding in 8 weeks, military, etc.). Even though I'm in love with my dress, I feel like I didn't get to try everything I wanted to.
I'm not married yet, but I have to stop myself from trying on more 'just for fun'.
Oh yeah, definitely do, especially since my dress wasn't what I wanted.
funny, since i found my dress, i never had this urge - even before my wedding. I think because i had dress regret with my first dress and sold it. Then i went to every store in town and tried on what felt like every dress in town as i was determined not to have regret a second time. It became a bit stressful as they all started to look alike after awhile and i thought i would never find "the one". So once i found my dress and knew it was the one, i was just so happy with it that i have not once had an urge to try on any more!
i do however get the urge to try on e-rings still and look at all the pretty rings out there....
i can't stop looking at dresses. while i have no regrets about the one i wore, i only went to 2 stores, and probably tried on 10 dresses at most. whenever i see SYTTD (which i still watch, btw) i get jealous at all the gorgeous dresses these girls try on. in fact, i probably know more about monique and vera dresses now than i did before my wedding!
Um, yes. I even wished for a minute the other day that I didn't have my wedding band fused to my engagement ring so that I could go try on dresses without being "found out." Wedding dresses are just so pretty :)
YES!!! I ended up having a total of three appointments at two different bridal salons (and I only tried on ball gowns and A-lines.) I didn't like anything until I found my dress. By then, I was so relieved to find something that I really liked that I started crying, tried on a veil, called one of my brides maids to meet me at the salon to see it, and bought it on the spot.
When I look at my pics, I sometimes have dress regret, even though my gown had many beautiful features. I would LOVE to have an opportunity to try on more gowns now, especially some fit-and-flare styles. (I think part of me would be hoping that I would love them, and another part of me would be hoping that those dresses would just reaffirm my decision to have purchased an A-line, haha.) Since I did not join the bee until after I was married, I never even had the opportunity to have bees see and comment on my dress choice.
I've often thought that TLC/SYTTD/Kleinfeld's should offer some type of sponsored contest a few times each year where women (those who are already married or those who aren't even yet engaged) could enter to win "tickets" to a evening event where a specified number of winners could spend several hours trying on bridal gowns just for fun! :) They could host this type of event after normal business hours so that it would not interfere with their routine operations, and the identified sponsors could underwrite the cost of the event while receiving a great deal of publicity. I think something like that would be so much fun, and I think a LOT of women would enter! :)
I totally do. I found my dress as a fluke (in like, the second store I ever looked in) and bought it on the spot - but I always sometimes wish I'd had the big 'dress try on' experience that I see most people have.
I kinda regret my dress in favor of my second choice after looking at our wedding photos. I'm thinking I wanna do a VR in it though, as it's not super fancy/outlandish. We'll see :)
ive always wanted to do this too! I love dress shopping!!! I sometimes wish I could lie and say im just engaged so I could go try on dresses! hahaha!
I do! I wore my mom's dress, so I never really got the experience of going dress shopping. Though I definitely don't regret wearing my mom's dress, it still makes me a tiny bit sad that I didn't get to try on dresses.
guilty. And I would totally come to TX and go to an upscale salon with you! I have thought of taking my wedding band off and going shopping with my friend just for fun ;) I loved my dress too - but there are so many I never tried on ;) I might feel slightly guilty wasting a consultants time (or not!!).
But yes, I keep seeing gorgeous dresses on pinterest, "oooh I wanna wear that!!"
Oh yes. I do not know how I ended up with a regular Maggie. I was made for something really crazy and couture. I live in the right area to try them on, too... it just didn't happen somehow.
*raises hand* I've been tempted to take off my wedding band and run into a bridal store.
Yea, I feel the same way, but don't know if I'd actually be able to go try on dresses knowing I'm already married. I loved my dress a lot, but I often wonder what it would have been like to wear a big wedding gown since I only got a tea length style.
Definitely!! Have been living vicariously through my girlfriends who are getting married this year.

I keep seeing so many gorgeous dresses that I want to try on! And while I did love my dress and wouldn't have changed it for anything, I still want to try on some of those gorgeous dresses just for the fun of it!
Anybody else ever feel the same?
