This weekend we are meeting with a couple that does videography together. I have basic questions that I want to ask but is there anything anyone can think of that is truly important to ask??
We originally were not going to have videography so I have not spent hours researching as I have on anything else!

- Wedding: August 2013 - Brookfield Zoo
-what are your packages and pricing range?
-how many shooters will there be?
-have you worked at our venue before?
-have you worked with our photographer before? (note this and the last question shouldn’t be dealbreakers if they say no, I just think it’s good to know)
-how do you plan to coordinate with the photographer to make sure you’re not “in each other’s ways”?
-what is something you wish people asked you but never do?
-why do you enjoy filming weddings?
hopefully that’s enough to get you started 🙂

@LBalazi: Do you get to keep all the raw footage or just what they edit for their video?
Do they require a meal at the wedding- same as guests or something simpler okay?
How long after the wedding can you expect to get the video?
Do they give it to you on a disk, hard drive, etc?
Will they take shots of you and the groom getting ready (if you want it)?
That’s all I can think of right now.

I def want to ask if I can keep the raw footage!! Never thought of that!!

How do you typically dress
Do you bring backup equipment
Do you need to visit the locations before the wedding
Raw Footed – Who keeps, how long
When is the footage avaliable?
Cost for additional Hours/Overage Time?

Thanks for the help! We met with the videographer although the appt was really rough! Someone entered our home and stole various items electronics, wallets, purse, Id’s, SSN, credit cards, XBOX 360 and over 100 games and whatever else they got their hands on. They also stole my fiances truck!!!! We decided to keep the appt with the videographers since they are from out of town but we should have rescheduled because we were so out of it during the app.
I did like the couple…they seemed nice. A little nervous that they do not have back up equipment but they will have two shooters there that day. For a small fee they include all the raw footage which I really want in case I do not lke the highlight video made.. Is that wrong to say?
Anyhow, Thanks for the questions because that is what guided my app… I felt like a robot reading them but at least I can go over the info now!

Did I mention that they are offering us a price of 800.00 for the WHOLE day with two photographers! I also asked for them to provide during our cocktail hour if they would shoot a video well wishes to the newlyweds! What a deal huh?!
I have to pay 150.00 travel fee which I think I will provide a room for them to stay at the hotel.

Thats terrible to hear about the break in! I hope you’ve filed a police report and they’re looking into it! And that hopefully insurance will act fast so you can get back what you need!!
..Good to hear about the price and the photographers though. Its not wrong to say you may not like their highlights, thats why I’m getting my own, also that way I can splice together a video of the ceremony and one of the speeches so that if I want I can play those later in full.
Travel fee isn’t too bad either 🙂
