Because of a dress I saw on Weddingbee, I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with the Melissa Brooch from Maggie.

I just don't know if it will fit within my budget, and I don't want to fall in love with it unless I can afford it. I'd only like to spend $900 on my dress.

Are there any brides wearing the Melissa Brooch dress? If so, how much did you buy it for before alterations? I just want to get an idea ... and don't want to buy it online ...

I live in Canada and ordered the dress in Tafetta and petite (an extra 30.00) and it came to 1295.00 with taxes.

I got mine in Sonoma County for $950 pre taxes and alterations. I think after taxes it was $1080 or something in that range. I don't know about altrations yet, she's not in yet. I've seen another poster on the WB forums who got this dress in Florida for $850 (I think?). It seems it will depend on where you live/your bargaining skills.
