I'm planning to get married in a Melkite Catholic church. It has always been the fmaily church but somehow we were all brought up Roman Catholic. I've been to a few Melkite ceremonies as a teen but I didn't really pay attention to the details. Now, I'm wondering if anyone has been married in a Melkite Ceremony or is planning to, what details are you able to personalize? I know the ceremony is mostly traditional but we were hoping to add a couple of readings and maybe some English songs. We have not yet met with the priest to discuss these details and i am wondering how much flexibility I should expect. Thanks in advance for any input, it will really help me out.
