I think Jim Hjelm, Lazaro, or Pronovias may have what you are looking for in that price point.

I don't know how you feel about lace, but Alvina Valenta dresses are phenomenal! Best of luck on your search :)

Try Pronovias. Most are below $2K, decent quality, and have lots of Spanish-inspired mermaid styles like the first one you posted. I wore a fit & flare Lazaro (priced $4K brand new) but I think his styles may be a bit more embellished than what you want: http://classifieds.weddingbee.com/topic/2010-collection-lazaro-dress-in-immaculate-condition-lz-3002-street-size-2-4

I'm interested in your opinion about these. :)
@miss.skinner: Thanks so much for your suggestions ; ) Super cute- love the pronovias dresses ; ) cant wait to find a place that sells them!! Thanks!
@ranunculuslove: Thanks for the Alvina suggestions- so cute. Never heard of that designer. The first one is very classy. Very timeless ; )
@meliss: your lazaro is gorgeous! a little bit bling bling for me- but its just so beautiful. Love your veil ; )
@natalila: Hi Natalila ; ) Thanks for all those suggestions! The sotteros are so well priced. I went to a shop who carried the line- of all the ones you suggested- they only had the maxine- the royale and the SSM one. I really liked the maxine...so pretty in person. Although I wanted it strapless- they said that it couldnt be done. Ugh...So I'm keeping on with the search. Although I think I may have found one! I tried it on- AMAZING! now im just waiting for one more dress from the 2010 collection to come in- and then i can make my decision in peace ; ) Thanks again!!

@Terrio: Maxine can easily be made into a strapless dress. The overlay fabric would just be sewn down. The shop may have meant that the dress doesn't come as strapless but it can be done.
@bRooklynRocks: Freakin gorgeous dress. I wanna see it in person. I even started a thread 20 minutes ago trying to shamelessly find it on a real bride.
@heather25: Honestly, I usually never comment on Maggie Dresses because I don't even click on the pages. But I am book marking this page and STALKING the classifieds to see if I can find it. Gorgeous.
I wore the Alita Graham 7286, which is a mermaid style with a soft sweetheart neckline and a corset back - it's satin and a little blingy (but not tooooo much, in my biased opinion). Right in your price range - on the lower end even.

HI WEDDING BEES ; )
I have a budget of $3-5k. Although you know, the lower the better LOL. Honestly for the right dress I will make an exception. I really love something different: fun, sexy, sweetheart, fit & flare/mermaid. Have you seen any dresses you recommend??
Here is what I love so far- I realize these are designer brands and rather pricey but I'm really open to any other cheaper brands. I have yet to try these on since the West Coast doesn't have them. Anyhow- ANY recommendations would be really appreciated!
XOXO~T
