Weddingbee boards

Hey!

I've been posting on the over 40 thread.........I'll jump in.  I was a first timer, but my new husband was an encore!  Thanks for inviting us.......I thought that this board was strictly for "encore brides," so thanks for the welcome!  I'll be chiming in!

Although I'm not new to Weddingbee... I am now on here as a bride-to-be and not as a vendor.  I'm an encore.  This will be my second (and last) marriage.  My first wedding was pretty big and took place in Las Vegas, NV (no, not the typical drive thru Vegas style wedding).   This time around, I'm older, wiser and a lot more frugal.  LOL!!   Although we could afford to spend a lot more on our wedding, I've decided (at the joy of my FH) that we'll start with a $5,000 budget and will NOT go any higher than $10,000.   I'm thinking an intimate civil ceremony at the San Francisco court house (it is absolutely beautiful) with a vintage hollywood glam reception for close family and friends at one of the many hidden treasures of SF.  I was thinking a museum or art gallery.  

Oh yea... we're planning a Fall wedding to take place November of 2011 (I graduate law school in May of 2011, bar exam July 2011 and then August is our family vacation trip celebrating the end of law school for mommy.  So, Fall was the best choice for us all and I just love the date 11/11/11.  Two One's joining together.  Corny.. but cute.  lol.   My FH said if that date isn't available we could always push it up to 1/1/11 or push it back to 12/12/12.   lol. 

In any event, I look forward to receiving some encore wedding ideas and sharing my own.  My first idea... which everyone seems to be trying to talk me out of; is to wear a white pants suit instead of a wedding gown.   Something sexy, expensive and very hollywood glam.  :-D   

Oh yea, I love peacocks,so hoping to incorporate them into our theme... mostly their feathers.  :-D
