I seem to be in somewhat of a predicament. I had a daughter in January and am currently BFing. I tried to start dieting a few weeks ago but it made my supply drop dramatically. Therefor, I stopped. We are getting married 9.26.15 so, I have plenty of time, except I have always been bigger FI knew me when I was at my heaviest however shortly after we got together he did make mention that he wasn’t as attracted to me bc of size (I think a lot had to do with I was über depressed, jobless, and didn’t care..) ovbs we have since worked through that lol. Anyways, I want to look good for engagement pictures as well… Anyone have any suggestions?! TIA

I can’t say whether this will impact supply, but within the past few months, in order to address some health issues, Mr. LK and I have completely cut out grains and anything with added sweeteners, and have reduced our dairy consumption. Weight loss was not the intended goal, but it has been a very nice side effect of the change. 🙂 We are still eating plenty of calories, and still have about 75 grams of carbs on a given day (from fruit, veggies, and homemade yogurt), so we are by no means hungry or lacking in nutrition. If anything, I’d say our nutrition has significantly improved as we are eating even more veggies than we did before.
I’ve done weight watchers with much success in the past, but this is much easier for me and I think I eat more nutritiously, too. It may be something to consider, as it focuses less on calorie cutting (which impacts milk production) and more on eliminating unnecessary carbs so that your body burns fat for energy instead.

Honestly, as long as you eat healthy and utilize portion control, you should be able to lose weight. Especially if you become more active physically.
