Hello there,
I just wanted to let you know that you are not the only Lake Tahoe Bride getting married in September. I'm getting married at Regan Beach and we are having our dinner at a Pub. Not the traditional "reception" but we are saving that for Chicago.
Right now my main search is to find a place for hair/makeup in South Lake Tahoe and we are also looking for a shuttle service so people can really enjoy the pub atmosphere. Besides that we also have to find a cake, chair rental, and lots of other random things (I keep thinking we are ahead of the game but the more I think about the stuff, the more overwhelmed it seems. LOL)
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone :-) I'd be more than happy to share ideas. I'm from Reno so I get up to Tahoe/Truckee quite a bit.
Thanks for the repsonse. For make-up, I found a gal named Natalie Cusson in s. shore who had very reasoable prices. I have my trial scheduled for next month and will let you know how it goes, but she also does aribrushing which everyone tells me I should do.
Hi Meitra,
I'm planning on a reception at the Gatekeepers Museum next June. We're doing the ceremony at the catholic church in Tahoe City but I always imagined an outdoor reception. I'm so excited but worried about a few things, the TOP of the list being weather.... do you have a plan for (eek) possible rain?
My plan is a huge tent. We have decided to use a tent for the reception, but weather permitting, that will dictate whether or not we use side walls. I would love for the sides to be open, but in case it is cold or raining, we have reserved the walls and central air heaters. We have until 2 days before the wedding to cancel if we think the weather will be nice.
Are you having a large wedding?
I have a question.... :)
How does costs of wedding things relate to costs at your home town?
I want a DW, but am having the most difficult time choosing the D!
@Butterfly119: I'm finding it's just as expensive...and your choices in vendors is very limited.
@meitra: Thanks! I figured so...it's really gorgeous at tahoe!

Hi Ladies,
I am getting married at the Gatekeeper;s Museum in September and was just wondering if there are any other Tahoe brides out there currently. I would love to bounce ideas/share information since I am planning the wedding sort of long distance (live in the bay area).
