Finally another Petoskey area Bride! I'm trying to find venues in that area where we could have an outdoor wedding. It has been so hard! Are you from the area, or are you just getting married there?
Hey Ladies - I'm getting married on the Island Oct 2010. We thought about Petoskey, Charlevoix, Harbor Springs area along with my podunk small town in the UP called Hessel. Hessel is halfway between St. Ignace and Drummond/DeTour on Lake Huron.
While I don't live there anymore (I'm in Cincinnati) I have some info on different places in the Upper LP. Have you looked at the Headlands? Friends of ours just got married there.

Hey girls! Finally, i thought i was the only one on here from northern michigan=) i live between east jordan and boyne city. our wedding is going to take place 6/13/10 in boyne city. where r u girls getting most of your weddig supplies. decorations?
JB - I looked at Parker's in Petoskey when I was planning on having to rent all taht stuff.
We just went to a bridal expo at Castle Farms and there was a place called "Taylor Rental" Other than that I haven't really looked into other places.
We are also going to be making a lot of our own decorations like centerpieces, table numbers, invitations, ect. But check E-bay and stuff for decorations that other people have used. It's a lot cheaper second hand and the quality is still perfect. :)

Whoops! Parkers is in the Soo NOT Petoskey. When smdudek21 mentioned Taylor, I started doubting myself and checked.
Ok, now that I'm finally engaged I can actually talk about it now :)
My family vacations in Goodhart (north of Harbor Springs) every summer and I really love the area. We are talking about trying to get married in Cross Village at Legs Inn or the Redpath Presbyterian Church.
Where else in northern michigan are you getting married or are good places to get married?

Hi all!
I was just wondering if there were any Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Charlevoix, MI brides out there. I'm not engaged yet but am planning to get married north of Harbor Springs and wanted to start accumulating advice.
