I think it may be a little confusing. You don't want anyone showing up on the wrong day! It may be ok if you have a lot guests familiar with European dating. Otherwise people may be scratching their heads thinking its a typo.
Thats my date too. I think its fine but if your worried use slashes or write it out.
Oh im so silly im dyslexic and I dident relise that the 10 and 11 were swiched. lol
My date 11/10/12 too!! I love it! I think it plays mind tricks on people - but I still think it looks good on our favors!
@sbottiani: Just this week I ironed out the ceremony venue, reception venue, dress, catering, and alcohol. Before then I was a giant ball of stress, but now that the huge things are out of the way I feel like a new person! Now time for a million little details...
@impatientlypatient: I have ironed out many of those large details too: venue, caterer, DJ and photographer for me. Luckily, we have the option of bringing in our own alcohol, which I am so happy about. The only thing I haven't figured out is my dress. I'm a little stressed out about that, but I'm sure it will be fine. I guess I'm most stressed out about the cost (that racks up more by the day.) Who knew having a decent (but certainly not overblown) wedding would be so expensive?!
@sbottiani: I understand! To try to save I decided to go with a used dress. I think I've developed a freaking ulcer. I just want to get the dress in my hands!! AARGH. I never thought I could check my email so often in a day.
@impatientlypatient: I know how you feel. I am going to start at the low priced places first (David's Bridal), and if I can't find anything there, I'll work my way up, I guess. I want to wear something nice; I just don't want to pay the price. My mom offered me her wedding dress (which is really pretty and has very nice beading on it), but I would have to stop eating from now until my wedding to fit into it! I just can't wait for everything to get nailed down. I just need to relax (if possible.)
My date is also 11/10/12! I was feeling pretty overwhelmed for a while, but like alot of you I have nailed down my venue so I am feeling alot better about it all. I'm set to go dress shopping in about 2 weeks, and I am stressed over that. If I can get thru that, I think I will be ok :)
@jennthompson11: It was a lot less stressful than I expected it to be! Just remember to have fun!
I'm a November 10, 2012 bride! I love the way it looks written out. We met on the 9th of Feb. 2008, Got engaged on Oct. 8th 2011, and are getting married November 10th, 2012....so basically 8,9,10,11 and 12 are great #s to us!
Novemeber 10, 2012 bride too!! I am so glad I am not the only bride stressed lol!!
We've changed our date twice and November 10, 2012 is the date. I'm sticking to it. I think I may be behind though. I have done essentially nothing at this point.
Im getting married a day after you girls! 11.11.12, We chose that date, even though its a sunday, because it was what was available when we started venue shopping, which was only (literally) a couple weeks from the date of our engagement. He asked me to marry him on 11.05.11 and originally we wanted Oct of 2012. We ended up with 11.11.12 and Im finding lots of quirky coincidences with it :) We have the same birth date (December 6th) but he is a year older than me. As I said we were engaged 11.05.11 and 12 months and 6 days later we will be walking down the isle! Also, there are 11 stones in my ring! When we went to get our Wedding bands made, I purposely asked for 11 stones. Silly and corny but I like it, makes me feel like its all meant to be :)
To answer the original question, yes, that's confusing for most of us. :) You may want to use the regular American "11/10/12" or just write out the date: November 10, 2012.
I'm also an 11/10/12 bride!! Wooohooo! We were engaged on 11/09/11 (a TOTAL surprise for me) and wanted to be married about a year later. Plus our venue is a little bit less expensive.
@impatientlypatient: I'm with you! I bought a sample gown from preowneddresses.com. I was shaking I was so nervous when I hit that PayPal "submit" button, I was so worried I'd done something stupid. But the dress has arrived and is being altered right now. I got a $4,000 gown for a fraction of the cost and I couldn't be happier. It's my dream dress.
I concur with PPs...it's confusing.... I'm loving the "11*10*12" that i've been sending to my friends in emails when they inquire...

Hi date twins! I have a question. Do you think that it is okay to put 10.11.12 as our date or is that too confusing?
