Hi date twin!

I’m feeling excited most times, but I really think it hasn’t hit me yet! We had such a long engagement (25 months), that we really don’t have anything to do! I’m preparing for my family’s arrival, and shopping for snacks in between errands on Friday and during the morning on Saturday. I can’t be hangry or this will end badly! 😉

i found that a spreadsheet did me wonders, but that’s just me. I shared it in Dropbox, so whenever I have a thought, even at work, I make a note so that I don’t forget it later. What I have left:

cake flavors

finish escort cards with table numbers and food choice

practice walking in my heels!

makeup trial #2 (I’m doing my own)

wrap bridal party gifts

confirm times with Dj, church musician, photographer, and church (more for peace of mind)

choose beer and wine

get e ring refurbished

I think that’s it! Anything I’m forgetting?

Waitingbee57:  Well, I’m not October 4th but I am October 5th….. is that close enough? 😉

We’ve done everything and paid off pretty much everything. All we got left is the valet parking that day, and the make up artist and hair that day as well. Oh and the limos. Everything else has been taken care of.

We still need to do the favors. We have the items to assemble them…..but we still need the chocolate to put inside of them. That gets delivered next week.

I am almost done with the alterations on my dress and tomorrow I do my hair trial (I hired a fantastic hair stylist back in March but the dickhead went to his country to get married and won’t be back till after my wedding……without telling me, so I am back to square 1 with that (I already found someone even better thank god…..).

That’s it!!!!

Waitingbee57:  Girl….. you just got ME! tired just reading that!!!!

Take it one flower at a time and put on a good funny movie. You’ll be done before you know it!!!!!

The hair was kind of a mess….. I actually really LOVED my first trial…. and he was a lot cheaper than this new guy…. but I found out this week that he won’t be back. My FSIL called the new guy that same day and asked him to do me the huge favor (he is booked months and months in advance) and he said absolutely and to give him a call. So tomorrow is the day! I am really curious to see his spin on the same inspiration picture.

And yeah, if you can’t stand her…….. the last thing you want is to get annoyed on your wedding day early in the morning!!!!! What look are you going for? What about colors? 🙂

The biggest things we have yet to do are organize our playlists (no DJ), uodate the seating chart when RSVPs come in, buy beer and wine, and cook meat for our taco bar.

Littler things to do include figuring out who is doing toasts, delegate certain tasks for the day, and getting our marriage license!

I can’t believe its so close, I’m freaking our because I just know I’m forgetting something major lol

Woot woot October 4th! I’m feeling super nervous but I can’t really think about it because I have an expensive test this weekend. I’m not too worried about the wedding except the father daughter dance which I kind of don’t want to do but I love my dad and he’s really into it soooo lol. Other than that I’m just nervous and excited about being married and looking forward to this honeymoon! Good luck everyone! And I feel like I’m behind because I STILL don’t know how I’m going to do my hair!

Yay, October 4th brides!!  So exciting to share this moment with you ladies 🙂

Although, this feed is giving me such anxiety!!!!  I feel like I have so much left to do (and pay for)!

I still have to do escort cards, wrap BM’s gifts, get fiance’s gift engraved (and then wrap it), TWO more fittings (i love my salon, but BOY do they know how to make a girl rush), select props for the photobooth, determine who is doing toasts and create a timeline for the caterer, reserve a limo for transportation for myself and all my ladies for hair and makeup the day of, order food for my wedding party for before ceremony (starts at 4:30, we’re all staying in the same hotel together, and I’m sure getting ready in my bridal suite), get nails done, get marriage license, frame all the family wedding photos I have for our makeshift altar for ceremony, finalize DJ playlists, finish seating arrangements (could you BELIEVE i still have people rsvp-ing???), pay off all the last minute people, and of course the most important part… the BACHELORETTE PARTY!!!!

PHEW!  Hope I didn’t push my anxiety onto the rest of you!!!  <3

OMG!!  10/04/14 will be here in just a few weeks!!  Thankfully I’m pretty much done with wedding stuff.  I got everything done super early… definitely wanted to enjoy these last few weeks and not be stressed out.

Waitingbee57:  Hello date twin!!!  I still have a lot to do, which I pretty much expected because a lot of our details are the kind that have to be done at the last minute.  Like making 10 Alsatian onion tarts (not to worry – my fiance is a chef, so that’s a light day for him 😉 ).  Here’s my list:

(1) Circulate paperless post rehearsal dinner invitations.<br />(2) Send out room assignments for the bridal party.<br />(3) Choose and order wedding chair Monsieur and Madame signs.<br />(4) Book honeymoon hotels (we’ve booked some…we’re doing 2.5 weeks in Portugal and France!!!).<br />(5) Final hair cut appointment.<br />(6) Decide on wedding favor containers and cook favors (homemade chocolates and peanut brittle).<br />(7) Prepare pocket schedule of events for bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, and parents.<br />(8) Prepare seating chart.<br />(9) Find and choose container to hold postcards for guest book.<br />(10) Choose, print, and frame pictures to decorate wedding tables.<br />(11) Prepare signs from distressed wood.<br />(12) Choose chairs for wedding reception (we have gold chivaris and mismatched chairs reserved – which ones should we pick?!?)<br />(13) Prepare questionnaire for venue.<br />(14) Prepare questionnaire for officiant.<br />(15) Meet with string quartet to discuss quartet repertoire.<br />(16) Prepare list of suggested songs for DJ.

Yikes!  I hope I get everything done.  Best of luck to you!!!
