I've told him he's not allowed.  Thank goodness his facial hair grows soooo slow (I'm talking about 5 o'clock shadow three days later).  I hate, hate, hate mustaches and can't imagine kissing one.

Are you talking about No Shave November? Or is there some sort of mustache thing I don't know about? Lol.

FI, his brother, and my 2 brothers are all doing No Shave November.

I don't mind it. FI looks way better with facial hair - he has it normally anyway. He shaved for Halloween and I didn't like it.

I have no idea what you're talking about either.

I know of the playoff beard?

Movember is the Moustache growing month.

    check the website: http://us.movember.com/about/

Although it's funny, it's actually to raise $$/awareness for cancers affecting men (esp. prostate cancer)...

    @kmsw:

Thanks for the link! That's really interesting and really a great cause. I've never heard of it before though nor do I know anyone that participates in it.

@kmsw: I love it, I know it's only going to last so long though! At they end they usually shave/cut it to look silly so they are good sports.

Kinda funny to kiss him when the moustache comes in though! haha, don't you think?

@Daenerys: It does tickle (or maybe more like scrape me to death!) but mine doesn't do the moustache, but rather a winter beard!

I too get so sad when shaving time comes (usually Late February..)

But for now, I'm just really excited :-)

@kmsw: Oh, I'm not a fan of the big beards. Playoff beards, nooo!
My FI has dark red hair, but when he grows his beard it's ORANGE, and he doesn't maintain it. :(

One of the guys at my office is OBSESSED with Movember...he's got half our office doing it, and has raised over $450 since Nov. 1st...I'm kinda tired of hearing about it all day every day at work, haha, but I think it's awesome how much money he's raised that's going to a good cause.

The playoff beard is what I thought of too...and I live in the city of the Red Wings, so they have the tendency to last quite awhile. Luckily DH doesn't give a damn about sports!

FI has taken up with constant "scruff" as I call it, but it looks okay so I don't mind. He did buzz it all really close for "No shave November". I just told him it better be neatly trimmed on Dec 30th!

My FI isn't (luckily!), but a good friend of ours is. I'm all for charity, but mustaches really creep me out!

My Fi is doing it.  He does it every year.  When he does it I call him 'The Angry Arab' because it's absolutely ridiculous how much hair he ends up with.  He's a hairy man and it gets pretty long.

FI's started his 'stache... sigh, I tell him he looks like a pedophile, but he doesn't care. So glad it'll be shaved off before the wedding...

I found this last night. Lets support our men, ladies! ;)

Last year I had a beautiful sort of 70's trucker stache for the winter, but it wasn't really for Movember. It just happened to coincide with the event. And I shaved it into that from the full-on beard that I had grown throughout October. The winter before I grew what some call "friendly mutton chops", but I called "the gentleman bronco" but, again, it had nothing to do with Movember. This year I haven't grown anything and don't know if I will, but I'm thinking that next year I'm going all in on the Movember. Maybe I'll go for a Ron Swanson.

Well, DH has a goatee, so he has facial hair year-round anyway. Though I recently mentioned it would be fun to see what he looks like with a beard, and he was really excited about that. So yeah, I guess we are doing No Shave November! We'll see if he actually likes the beard. :)

http://ca.movember.com/ this is the Canadian site, but its worldwide, Men are invited to grow "Moes" to promote awareness and raise money for prostate cancer.. You can plan a whole event around it and they will send you "Mr Movember" sashes and a bunch of things to help promote it.. Its good fun, and the boys always get excited about who can grow the most ridiculous looking facial hair.

SO happy that FI has no interest in this. My brother is doing it though and he looks HILARIOUS. He's growing a very thin line (Pencil Moustache) and he's a pretty hairy guy so it's very obvious.
