Hi, I recently ordered my dress, it's a pronovias Finisterre. I don't have a pic yet as the shop wouldn't allow me until my actual dress arrives, which won't be until about March. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else will be wearing the same dress and if they have any photos that would be great. Would love to know if i have a dress twin. This is the only image I have so far.
I am your dress twin!!! Finally somebody else has the same dress as me! I ordered it last week and it should be arriving in March! I am also getting married in July! actually July 23rd...what a coincidence. I will post a picture of me in the dress as soon as it comes in. They also wouldn't let me take a picture of the dress until its actually mine.
@Hope11: oh wow, great news, look forward to the flash and will do the same when I collect mine. Also about March time! Not only a dress twin but pretty much a date twin also. Whereabouts are you? I am a UK bride - Portsmouth, which is on the south coast.

I also just recently ordered this dress for my August wedding. SO in love with it! The bridal shop I went to allowed us to take some pictures once they knew I was purchasing the dress. If you want to send me your email addresses, I'd be happy to send over the pics i have.

Super excited that there are ladies out there who appreciate the simple beauty of this garment. Its a definite contender, if not the one.
Can anyone email photos of the dress, the ones featuring the model I think dont really show its genuine appeal.
Please anyone I promise to not show a soul, Im ready to order the dress but need the little nudge. So I dont get buyers remorse.

@tuscany: I think a hair piece of head piece, similar to the one Alicia Keys on her wedding day. Xo You will look amazing, the dress just speaks volumes.
I ordered my dress mid-November and it won't be in until April so all I can show you guys are the two pictures on my phone. My sister went back with me later and took better pictures, but I don't have them so if you guys want more detail let me know and I'll upload those as well.
As fas as accessories go, I bought a veil already (not the one seen in the first picture), it's more like the one the model is wearing in the official pictures.
@pcotton you look gorgeous in your gown. I'm glad you posted a picture of the backside because I honestly fell in love with the dress without even checking the back detail. Mine is coming in March so I still have to wait a little longer. 
I still haven't decided on a veil yet because I didn't want it to take away from the dress. Also I'm afraid to find out the price of the veil since I went over my budget with the dress.
If I did get a veil I wanted one similar to this
Do you know where I could get it? Is it a Pronovias veil?
Hi Girls!! I am so in love with Finisterre! It is so unique and classy. I want to know a few things because I have not been able to try this dress on since the local dealer in my area does not carry a sample.
1. Is this dress comfortable?
2. Were you able to get a bustle put on this dress and how does it look?
3. How much were the average cost of alterations?
4. Was your seamstress able to hem this dress or did you order it shorter? I am only 5'7.
5. Is there a matching veil and would someone be able to provide me the style number?

I'm so glad finally there are posts and pics up about the dress - I am going for my first fitting NEXT week and I have no idea what is going to work with the dress! It looks beautiful in the pics by the way pcotton 
My gut feeling is it is too intricate for a really detailed veil - I think it would be lace overload? But I don't have a good alternative either - hoping I will get some direction next week.
I'm also struggling with bolero/jacket/shrug - my wedding is likely to be chilly so I need something warm but I don't know what!!! Anyone had any ideas?
I will report back on comfort etc after next week, but my only hesitation when I tried it on was it gathered slightly around the hip area - did anyone else find this?
@MissFF: I am also wearing the Finnesterre! I ordered in on OCt 31st, and it comes in at the beginning of March. I fell in love with this dress. It fits amazing around the bust line, and I love the silloette of the mermaid underneath the soft tool. It did not gather around the hips, but I tried on a size that was way too big. i do have a few concerns...
1. I am 5'3", The dress was VERY long when I first tried it on. I'm hoping it wont overwhelm me even if i wear 4 inch heels. Hopefully it will look good in my size (since i'm not a 5'10 model!)
2. VEIL- I'd like to wear a veil, but it seemed like sooo much fabric that maybe just a beautiful flower detail in hair might due just fine.
3. BUSTLE. I have not yet seen this dress bustled. Would this dress be a candidate for a wrist strap to carry the train?
Reguardless. this dress is beautiful and i LOVE IT. More updates at the fitting. GOOD LUCK GIRLS!

I think the veil depends a lot on your ceremony location and how formal you are going. I decided to go with a very plain fingertip length veil since I'll be getting married outside near the beach- I'll post more pics once I have the veil & dress. Here are some pics from when I purchased the dress (keep in mind its a few sizes too big). At the shop they clipped it to show me what the bustle might look like- of course the real thing will be much neater! 
Oh also- to ssailllly, I purchased the gown for $1700. I hope it was a fair price, as it was a good bit over my budget!!!

Kim0806- I can't tell from the photos but is it obvious that it is a mermaid sillhoutte or does it look more empire because of the tulle?
Also do you know how you are going to wear your hair?
Thanks Dsquared! The underneath part of the dress is very much mermaid, but the overlay has an empire shape. I talked to the dress shop about tacking the fabric down just under the bust when they do alterations- I don't want it to pouf out and make me look preggers :) I'm hoping my dress comes sometime in March, so I'll be sure to get some more pics of the properly fitting dress!
I'm planning to wear my hair in a low up-do, since it will probably be breezy at our ceremony site.

Kim0806- Oh yea if they sewed it down in the area it would look more fitted. What a great idea!! can't wait to see it! I noticed the dress La Sposa Denia looks like the tulle overlay starts lower but there aren't many people that carry La Sposa.
Cannot wait to see it! Hopefully my shop will have it in next week I am so anxious!

I just wanna say -- this dress rocks it! I never saw anything like it before. It takes the structure of the mermaid (which I personally think can be a little harsh for a wedding dress) and softens it with this veil-like flowy overlay. I'm wowed beyond words, really!
quick question for Finisterre ladies(or any Pronovias) - do you know if you can get cap sleeves added to most styles?
I love this dress but also wanted cap sleeves - I know some other lines can add them to most.
kouk i am pretty sure pronovias wont add sleeves but they do sell jackets that give you more coverage or you can have your own tailor add them. i am wearing a tulle jacket made by enzoani that for the ceremony.

I am a dress TWIN tooooo! Thanks for putting up pics! quick question, is this dress the same as Denia? i had initially seen Denia and it doesn't look any different from Finisterre. I have not yet ordered mine but i plan to sometime in the coming week once i have tried it on.

No, it's not quite the same as Denia. If you look closely at Denia it has sequins all along it and the tulle is more fitted through the hip. I really wish I could try them both on but Denia is not carried at my local Pronovias dealer.
This dress is beautiful. I'm not a dress twin, but I couldn't help having a little dress envy when I saw it
Hey ladies so i have a bit of a dilemma... I ordered the gown im optical white and the veil but the shop just called and said the veil doesn't come in optical white. My wedding colors are white and peweter and i tend to look better in cooler tones also so i had my heart set on white. I didn't hate the off white but im not sure i love it...what would you guys do?
Hello! I have absolutely and totally fallen in love with this dress but I am shocked by the price I saw listed above by one of you...Is it really only $1700?? It looks like a $5000 dress! Did you get it on sale or is this really the price? (In which case, I will be RUNNING to find it!)
If anyone can give me more information on the price, that would be great! I supposed I could call a boutique tomorrow but I find that rather intimidating. I wish they would list the prices on the official website :-(

Also my veil problem has been solved. They found a very similar veil in optical white. I couldn't believe how well priced the veil was too!! It was all detailed and beaded on the border!
Has anyone ordered this in Optical white? I did and I am hoping I still love it in Optical white.
I wish I could post up my pics but I can't seem to get them off my phone. Anyway I love this dress I just can't wait for it to arrive in July!
I got the dress and thanks to DSquared, I got it for the same price! My maid of honor and I realized that if we hadn't seen this site and told the people at the boutique (in Boston) that we saw others got it for $1700, they were going to try and sell it for $2200+! So thank you all and I'm so excited!!!!
I tried on this dress and LOVED it! I ended up going with a watters dress instead. This one was a close second though :)
ETA: after seeing this post, I feel like I chose the wrong dress! lol... Im gonna go barf now.
