So, I have an antique handkerchief that my grandmother, who won’t be able to attend the wedding, gave me. It had belonged to her mother. I was thinking of carrying it down the aisle, but I am not sure of the logistics of actually doing that. I think that the traditional way would have been to have had it in a Bible, but I’m not religious so I won’t be carrying a Bible.
Any other Bees carry a handkerchief? Did you attach it to your bouquet? or tuck it in a bracelet? or just carry it?

@Zusie: I sort of wrapped mine around my bouquet, but it also wasn’t very big either. It was also my grandmother’s, and I’m glad I had it! I’m such a sap :o)

Ah, I’m dealing with that myself at the moment! I just inherited a bridal handkerchief passed through FI’s family- I’ll be bride number 4 to use it- but I wasn’t sure what one does with a bridal handkerchief nowadays. My solution is that we’re working with the florist to wrap it safely around my bouquet.

@2PeasinaPod: Me too! Mine went around my bouquet, though it was only big enough to wrap once and pin/tie. It was my something old, and my grandmother’s who passed away a couple years ago. It meant a lot to me.

I carried my grandmother’s handkerchief in my hand- and it was needed! I didn’t plan on getting misty-eyed, but the emotions were too much.
