I'd love to do this but when I get down to it I can't really remember everything!! baaah. first kiss, first date, first exchange of i-love-yous, engagement... stuff like that?

Try to use facts that tie into the theme of your wedding too!
That is a great idea! I would love to do that with hearts and have them on the walk way going into the venue.
Just from looking it your post I imagines two sets of hearts highlighting the bride and grooms personal lifetime highlights like " She was born in 19##" ( in one of your wedding colors) and opposite of the heart would be " He was born in 19##"
Then maybe when you graudated from highschool, and college or such. Then whenever you two meet you can still have seperate hearts but they will be moving side by side...like " She started working at GREAT JOB" and his heart will be right there nexxt to hers with a smile on it.
Then after you get engaged, the hearts can become half hearts but not yet connected.. then right before you enter the door of your ceremony venue, you can have the hearts connected into one heart but with both of the wedding colors blended, that will say " January 12, 2013, They become one" or something like that
I can't remember all of the first kiss events and such, (plus I don't want my relatives knowing too much like our first make-out session hahaha); but maybe if you can estimate the fitrst time you said I love you, or the first time you went on a date...that would be cute too!

@proverbs131: I love this idea!!! our relationship timeline would be waaaaay too short (only 5 months) but I like the whole separate lives until the wedding day idea... very cute. I think I may put it on the save the dates or something
Oh goodness! This would have been so perfect! Too bad I don't remember any of the specifics! I am terrible with dates and couldn't even remember now DH's birthday until we had been dating for 2 or 3 years!!!
If we did this I'd just be pulling dates out of my ass because I don't remember! But I think they are cute.
