– what was your hair length when you decided growing it? I had a pixie cut.

– what is your current length? It reaches a little past my arm pits? I was trying to figure out what part of the body. It is between my armpits and my breasts.

– at what length do you plan to stop? After the wedding I will probably chop it off. So I have 7 1/2 months till then, so pretty long.

– what hairstyle do u want for your big day? No clue but probably up. The length will add a lot of thickness to my otehrwise thin hair.

– do you trim your hair and if you do, how often? I have my hair trimmed and layers about every 6 months.

– what hair products do you use? I have been using all natural shampoo and conditioner for a while. I recently just bough mane and tail shampoo and conditioner to mix it up. I do not really put much product in my hair at all. I usually let it air dry or I was it and then sleep on it and I may just go over areas that need flat ironing. I also deep condition.

I cut it to a short angled bob right after we got engaged because I knew we were having a two-year engagement and that would give plenty of time to grow out (I had long hair when we got engaged but was itching for short hair again). Now, 22 months later (from when I got it cut, not when we got engaged), it is almost at my elbows. I need to go get it trimmed before the wedding. I get it trimmed probably twice a year when it’s this long, just to kill the dead ends and redo the layers to suit the length. I take vitamins daily. I use Burts Bees shampoo and conditioner and sometimes John Frieda Frizz-Eaze or a leave-in conditioner. I’ll probably get it all chopped off after the wedding, lol.

@linssi:  this past December I took a huge step. I was known for being the girl with the amazing long hair! It wasn’t too crazy it was down to my waist maybe a little longer and full! Not the thin long hair, ew! Lol but I wanted a change and it was the holidays so I decided to donate my hair! I cut off 15 inches :o.  My hair was cut to brush my shoulders. Now it is an inch or so below my shoulder and I’m growin it back out for the wedding, which isnt until jan 2014. I would like it to be at least 6 inches longer. And I plan on having it down and curly at the wedding

I am – but not so much for my wedding day but just in general! Prior to going back to school I worked a very demanding job and kept my hair short for the sake of being able to shower and go in the mornings. After leaving my job last spring I have only been going in for trims every 8 or so week, usually before/after my color. I started with hair just below my chin, and now my hair is almost an inch past my shoulders. I am hoping to get my hair about 4-5 inches past my shoulders by September, and I’ll likely keep it that length after the wedding as well. My hair grows very fast and is resilient as well, but I use a shampoo and conditioner that is sulfate and paraben free, and do a deep conditioner with those same guidelines about once a week. I towel my hair dry and only blow-dry it after it’s nearly completely dry. Another thing I do is that I use heat protectant oil before I blow-dry/straighten. I have also retired all hair ties with metal clasps as those tend to pull out my hair. So far so good, my hair is growing fast and looks super healthy! I should also point out I follow a healthy diet (protein and good fats are KEY in shine and growth!) and take vitamins. : )

i’m just curious:

– what was your hair length when you decided growing it?

About down to the top of my bra’s back strap.

– what is your current length?

about halfway between there and the waistband on my pants

– at what length do you plan to stop?

Crystal Gayle. Or after my wedding, whichever comes first 😀

– what hairstyle do u want for your big day?

Not the slightest clue!

– do you trim your hair and if you do, how often?

I’ve been bad about this. It’s been once every four or five months, mostly because my trusted hairdresser is in another town :-/

– what hair products do you use?

Right now, I am using Dove intense repair shampoo (I think that’s what it’s called?) and Aussie conditioner. But I’ve used more expensive things in the past. It’s just hard to justify buying the expensive stuff right now when it takes so much to wash the hair I already have. I also do mayonnaise treatments because my hair has two things working against it right now (Accutane and hypothyroidism)

I’m not sure about the other parts yet, but just as a general note — I take biotin pills (the particular ones I use are Deva Vegan Hair, Skin and Nails) and I find them really helpful.  It may just be placebo effect, but I’m pretty sure my hair grows at least a little bit faster and my nails are less of a total disaster than they were before I started taking them.

– what was your hair length when you decided growing it?

I have decided to grow my hair out right after high school. its been an up and down battle since then. i lived out on a boat for many of those years so my hair got damaged so some of those years i had to cut a lot off. it was just above my shoulders. some where like 4 years ago i knew i wanted to grow it out till my wedding (not that i was engaged) but i wanted princess hair.

what is your current length?

a little below my back brastrap. but if i straighten it then a little further.

– at what length do you plan to stop?

my hair has been pretty hard to grow so i think ill let it go till i get tired. it took so long and i just love it. it will be years i think i will really cut it short.

– what hairstyle do u want for your big day?

i had always thought down. but now im thinking about up but will prob end up going down all the way and curly.

do you trim your hair and if you do, how often?

i trim my hair once every four months if i can. i try to give it some time because at one point i was trimming too much. and it was delaying it from growing. because of split ends i some times go threw my hair and cut them off one by one.

– what hair products do you use? last year i decided to take Prenatals. a few months after i started. people started telling me my hair was getting really long. ive noticed a BIG differance. and its made it healtier.wn at all.  it went from my collor bones to below my C cups boobs. i feel like the whole year before i did that, i didnt gro in the past i have used hot oil. for shampoo/ conditioner i mix i up. but my fav. is coconut. or redken. i have to be really careful when buying conditioner. the really cheap stuff actually has  i try to deep condition it now.  with assie. i also started combing my hair when its wet. i read some where that brushing while wet causes split ends. my friend got me some natural coconut oil. im going to try it soon.

At first yes I was planning on it because of hte hairstyle I wanted (half up/half down).  I tried my dress back on a few days ago with my hair up and loved it even more. So for my trial I did all up.  So right now I can leave my hair the length it is with trimmings every couple months.

– what is your current length? about an inch past my bra strap.

– what hairstyle do u want for your big day? a voluminous updo

– do you trim your hair and if you do, how often? every few months i trim off some dead ends.

– what hair products do you use? i use the dandruff shampoo, t-gel, (this winter has been the driest ever in texas) and 3 minute miracle aussie conditioner, moraccan oil on the ends of my hair, sometimes i use dry shampoo and dry conditioner to avoid washing my hair too much and drying out my scalp.

I have an endless battle trying to grow my split ends… Sorry, hair. Although I have blonde highlights that damage it, I really do try to take good care of it. I’m currently sitting here within hot oil on it for example!

I give up and have resigned myself to the fact that I will have to use my extensions on the big day. That’s fine!

I heard horse shampoo helps but I didn’t find it did. The prenatal pills… I will have to try that!
