I decided I want them to wear whatever they feel like wearing. It is a nice gesture but I’m sure they won’t wear it again. Instead I’m giving them bags filled with small gifts and I will also pay for half their hair and makeup. Anyone else? And what are you getting them?
*I meant to post this to the BM board. How can I change it?

@loveknows: I paid for my girls’ hair and makeup. I also got them each a pashmina shawl to wear on the boat from the ceremony to the reception and little plastic heel caps to help keep them from sinking into the mud.

I am not giving them jewelery. I am giving them bags with home smellies and flip flops for the reception and some other little things. I’m not doing a ton. But, our wedding is smaller and low key.

@MlleBrielle: Gourmet fudge is a great idea! I’m giving them jewelry, pashminas, and masks for the day of, but I also want to get them something that’s for them, not for the wedding.

We will have women in our wedding party, but we are calling them Best People, not Bridesmaids. Anyway, we are paying for their room during the wedding (they will all share a condo), make up and hair for the ceremony, and an engraved flask as their gift.
I think it will work out with their personalities!

I paid for their hair & makeup and gave them Orla Kiely purses. I also bought their dresses.

I am getting my girls personalized beach bags with flip flops and a few other goodies. Possibly a towel and maybe an anklet. I am not too sure yet but I want them to wear what ever they what for jewelry the day of. I have gotten jewelry before and well it just sits in my jewelry box.

I’m paying for their hair for the wedding. My ladies and I also love to drink so I am making them personalized wine glasses and giving them a nice bottle of wine to go with it. 🙂

I’ll probably give them gift baskets from Victoria’s Secret or Bath and Body Works. And maybe their earrings. They aren’t really helping me through this process (one is pregnant, one is having issues with her mom, and one lives 8 hours away) and they know we’re on a very limited budget. I think they will still love it though.

Technically their jewelry was a small part of their gift (like…very, very small), but it wasn’t the focus at all. I think the necklaces we ended up with cost $2.50 from Forever 21. I mean, they kept them, but they also got a ton of other stuff that was more gift-y. :).

- Wedding: October 2011 - Bed & Breakfast
I only had an MOH. I paid for her dress that she chose, hair, make-up, room for the night, and a robe for getting ready. I also have 2 besties who were not official bridal party members, but who have been beyond wonderful to me through the years. I bought them getting ready robes, too. And I got one for my Momma, because she rocks. I loved giving out gifts to my ladies. This is a pic of one of my besties and I, looking all happy and stuff.
