Not completely but I decided on aubergine, marigold, and touches of emerald.  i think this is about the extent of jewel tones I can stomach, lol.  I always knew I wanted strong colors cause my style is usualy more vibrant than soft and romantic.

I’m dong emerald! I love it… i will say it was hard to find centerpieces that included the color the way I wanted.  I’m offsetting the emerald with brown and white.  I”ve seen some stuff done with all the gem colors and it looks good, but yes your’e right be careful not to over do it!  I would say satrt looking online for ideas.

Mine was kind of.  BMs wore teal, my bouquet was purple, maroon/red and blue, tables had navy overlays.

I think it’s an awesome idea! I was a bridesmaid in my friend’s wedding in October of ’09 and she also had jewel tones. Her dress had a wine colored sash  and the bridesmaid dresses were eggplant. I was a little unsure of everything at first but once it all came together it looked great.

I am having a jewel tone wedding!!

I was worried about the exact same thing.  Especially since I chose basically all jewel tones.  My bridesmaids are all wearing a black dress with just the sash changing colors so it doesnt get too circusy up there.  (purple, blue, pink, green, orange, and yellow)  I was a little worried about so much color at first but there dresses came in and so far so good!

Does anyone have some advice on how to keep the theme as well with out it looking like a circus or a childs birthday party =)  I am thinking I will just add accents of color and keep with white tablecloths and blacks as the back drops.

I am also worried about having too many colors in the centerpieces and flowers so I am trying to tone some of that down as well.

As more of mine comes together I will post some pics and let you know how it goes!

These are my colors as well for my June 2012 wedding! Emerald, ruby, sapphire and amethyst! I wasn’t concerned until lately since I’m moving along in the planning stage; I just want everything to come together and not look too crazy! I think we can make this work though!

I am doing eggplant and merlot.  The bridesmaid bouquets will have a bit of bright orange added in them as well.

I’m doind a jewel theme too! My bridesmaids are wearing ruby, sapphire, and emerald. I think I am going to keep the chairs and linens neutral and let the centerpieces sparkle. That way, it doesn’t get too crazy.

I am doing turquoise, magenta and small hints of pink (think pink tourmaline) using this one in very small amounts.

So happy to have found this post! My wedding theme sounds really similar to JoJo Bananas – especailly the table overlays – mine will be sapphire blue runners over white linen. I have been so so worried that the colros will be too mishmashed so I’m trying to just emphasize a few like the blue in the tables and purple and pinks/reds via floral arrangements, minimize the emerald green (which will just be shown through vases holding some flowers) and then everythign else I”m planning to just to clear/crystal/diamond blinged out!  What does everyone think? These are the centerpieces I am trying to emulate:
