Any other cross stitchers, sewing bees, or any other crafty ladies?

@Laurenplusalex:  Very pretty! What is it going to be? I’m going to monogram vintage hankies for my bridesmaids. I’ll post when finished!

I cross-stitch! Unfortunately, I almost never finish anything that I start. : (

I’m always trying out new ways to be crafty, but it never amounts to anything. I did candlemaking, soapmaking, knitting, crochet, etc. One day I will just have to accept that I am not Martha Stewart.

I used to cross stitch, but I found I much prefer knitting and designing my own knit patterns. I’m currently working on a cabled trellis scarf that I designed. I’m also working a a huge sewing project right now, hand sewing fleece bedding for my guinea pigs. I’m hoping to finish my first fleece liner today.

I’m a printmaker and I make textiles (pillows) by carving wood and printing them by hand

I’ve also been playing around making cyanotype photography textiles too:

my DH had to show me how to use our sewing machine, haha.

@Laurenplusalex:

Thank you! Its pretty funny, I was a total tomboy as a kid/teen (bowl hair cut, played football) but now that I’m in my late twenties I totally love flowers and “pretty things”. My mom thinks its pretty hilarious.

I cross stitch. I don’t do many other crafts, but I find cross stitch very calming, and it focuses me on other things, so that’s always good. 🙂 I’ll try to take a better picture of my current project to post later.

knit, crochet and cross stitch.  my main project right now is a baby blanket for a co-worker, and then I’m going to work on some stuff for me.  Not sure if I want to work on my dragon shawl (which I’m probably going to have to rip apart again because it’s been so long and I have no idea what I’m doing anymore) or a sweater I’ve wanted to make for ages.
