Valentine's bride here, and I am SO BEHIND! I am giving up on DIY'ing everything, and luckily my parents are coming in for the weekend to help me (the next time I see them will be a couple days before the wedding)
Luckily the pace is pretty slow around here, but I am excited to have my first fitting Saturday...too bad I've been sick & haven't been working out much this week!

are either one of you nervous about your fittings after Christmas goodies? I have my second fitting this week, and I'm worried it's not a good time for it.
What's at the top of your to-do list? Mine right now is time sensitive stuff- ordering parent gifts, trying to figure out the song list for the band, stuff like that. Sometimes I feel like I'm putting off the important things like figuring out what will be in the ceremony and ordering our cake. Ehh- so much to do!
I have my first fitting this Saturday, too! I was getting nervous that it's too close to the date, so good to hear that others are in the same boat. I'm not nervous necessarily because of Christmas goodies, but just overall that it will fit -- no idea yet!
I'm clueless on parent gifts, unfortunately. Trying to figure out programs right now is on the top of my list, but you make an excellent point about music... hmm... and what to do in the ceremony. Will have to dedicate some time to that this weekend.
I forgot the biggest thing -- which is that I mailed the invitations today. Big time relief. :)
doesn't it feel AMAZING to get those invites in the mail? We're starting to get RSVPs and it feels oh so good:)
where we're at:
about 1/2 of ceremony & reception music specified
ceremony mostly laid out
no work on programs yet
and still some invites! I was going to hand them out, but I haven't seen people, and some still haven't sent me their addresses, so I'm running around like a crazy person bc our hotel block "expires" Wed ;)
1st fitting done, and it is almost perfect fit, so we just did the bustle for now (no hem, yay)
our pianist backed out, so I'm tracking down a new one
broke down & bought Thank You notes from the store, bc I had planned to DIY all paper goods (90 favor containers & invites are already done, oy!)
menu is close but we have a big reception mtg Friday, then we will shop for booze Sat ...oh and our marriage certificate this Friday!
as for the weight loss, I've only lost 6 lbs..but my goal was only 12 total...I'm still a street size 12, but I think I look good, and so does my fiance...we upped our workouts to every other day for the last month, and I've already seen some results, but I never will be tiny, I'm 5'10" muscular/curvy :P
