I am at my wits end! I'm on day 5 of MAYBE 2 hours of sleep a night. I feel like a zombie right now at work. I am so stressed out that I barely have an appetite, my hair is falling out and now this.

I'm stressed because we are moving the day we get back from our honeymoon so I'm trying to pack up my apartment and get everything switched over and taken care of, plus my brother who is my BFF just got a job transfer last week and is moving to Houston tomorrow and I'm devastated! :/ He's thankfully convinced his new boss to allow him to come home from Thursday on as he is the best man, so I get a few more days with him- but, totally bummed.

On top of all that- wedding is in T-minus 8 days and I am SO behind! FH is attending his bachelor party weekend so I'm going to be running around like a mad woman trying to take care of last minute details for both the wedding and honeymoon.

I'm overwhelmed and I need a good nights sleep STAT! I can't take anything like Tylenol PM and all that because I'm too sensitive to medications and always feel drunk for hours the next day. Tried the hot bath, tried to drink sleepy time tea, tried valerian root, kept the TV off every night so there is no noise distraction going on... what the F! I don't know what else to do!

Ladies? Anyone in the same boat with some hot tips?

I've been having trouble sleeping too.. not just because my wedding is this month but also because my Father passed away 3 weeks ago, so its been a SUPER stressful time. I do take Tylenol PM though and that works for me some of the time. You could maybe try a lower dose? That and also work on deep breathing/attempting to meditate? Counting sheep.. thinking of things that are boring. That's what I try and do.

    @FireflyT: ((HUGS))

I'm so sorry about your loss. Everything I am stressing about seems so trivial. I hope you get some rest soon.

Hugs!   The only thing that works for me when I'm that stressed out is breathing techniques from yoga. And going to yoga classes with fire breathing. Both tire me out/calm me down when nothing else will.

@ellabee: My coworker just suggested yoga to me too. I suppose I should look into that!

    Hugs to all of you!!!

Right now I'm actually sleeping more than normal... but that's just my body's way of hiding from the to do list I think!

I've had a really hard time sleeping too! I have been taking a half of a sleeping pill a night for the past 5 nights so i can get a normal amount of sleep. It's the only way i can get my head to turn off!!! I highly recommend it!!

Wow! Our lease actually ends June 30 (while we're in Jamaica) so we stayed another year just because of that! (they wouldn't extend it a month which was fine). But wow, I probably wouldn't be sleeping either! I probably wouldn't be able to relax on the HM either, too busy thinking about moving!

@thewheelsonthebus: That is my current strategy as well. I feel like it's going to end up being a bad idea!

Tips.... it helps me to make lists of what I need to do, buy, call, whatever. And then check them off. Put simple things like do the laundry, call and confirm limo etc., on it so you feel more accomplished. Bigger things like "finalize honeymoon" can be too stressful. Break it down. Even if it means 25 things are on your list, you'll be able to cross them off faster.

If you're at work, try take 15 minutes to knock out a few things - step outside make a few calls, send a couple emails so you feel like things are getting done during the day.

Hope this helps! and good luck with the wedding/honeymoon/moving!

@thewheelsonthebus: Haha I'm with you! I'm surprisingly low-key. I feel like if things go wrong at this point, then they'll just go wrong and we'll all laugh. I'm pretty laid-back! :)

Yup, I definately haven't been sleeping well lately. I keep remmembering things I need to do, and I have really bizzare dreams when I do fall asleep. I ended up KOing when I got home last night from work because I was so exhausted.. (which wasnt good because we had a meeting with the DJ). I have a feeling its going to get worse before it gets better... I will probably spend the first day of the honeymoon in bed.

@hisgoosiegirl: Gah- we'd be homegirls in real life. I'm a major list maker. I have lists of other lists I need to make.

    Yeah, I said it.

Sorry for all the extra stress on top of the wedding in a few days!

We're date twins :) and honey, I am right there with you! I have not been able to fall asleep the past week and I wake up at the crack of dawn. I'm always tired, I guess from running around doing last minute things and no sleep, and my brain will not shut off!

Maybe you need a full day of pampering to help relax you, that's my plan for tomorrow! Hang in there and try some melatonin. It's a natural supplement that really does help relax you and sleep better. I use it on long flights to help me.

    Few more days, yay!!

@mrsmurraytobe: Date twin- hope you get your rest too!! I so wish I would have taken a day off to pamper myself, but I chose not to take any time off work until the honeymoon. Yes, I'm an idiot. A massage sure might help right now though! I'm going to swing by the health food store tonight and grab melatonin. Something has gotta give!!

@Lala61111: Hahahah, I have several right now! Currently I have a to-do list that includes making lists of:

what to take home for the wedding

what we still need to purchase

what to pack for the honeymoon

    an actual to-do list

You are totally not alone! There is nothing like that feeling of satisfaction of crossing of something I've accomplished.

And good luck this weekend! Hope the weather is beautiful wherever you're at!

I am super tired as well..I had a consultation with the DJ yesterday and he kept telling me how tired I seemed and told me to get some rest. I try but I still have to go to work all day and then go home and pack and do endless last minute stuff. Then when I finally get time to sleep I can’t really sleep so yeah, wish it was my wedding day already.

@FireflyT: I feel you there! I work from 8am - 6pm and no breaks this week, my entire office is out at a convention and I'm manning the fort. Then I rush home and pack..all...night...long.

Your day is coming! PS- I think it's really fantastic that you are getting married on Father's Day. I'm sorry he won't be there in person, but what a wonderful way to honor him.

So...the melatonin didn't work. Another sleepless night. I have never gone this long without sleeping! This is insane. We are celebrating Father's Day early and going out to dinner tonight with my dad since all my siblings happen to be in town right now for my wedding. Hoping that the bottle of wine I will most likely kick back this evening will do me in.

Hope the rest of you got some sleep!!

Oh thank god- I'm not the only one with lists of lists!!!

I'm still sleeping... but it's not good sleep.  I wake up a LOT throughout the night, so when it is time to get up, all I want to do is sleep!

Thankfully it feels like I'm making progress on the seemingly neverending to do list.  So I guess that's good.

(and still just a wee bit in denial about the fact that it's mid June already!)

Ok, Im the odd woman out but Ive been sleeping like a rock! Haha. I know thatll change the week of the wedding, though! Its important I get my 'beauty' sleep because (a) dark circles under the eyes run in my family and mine are way worse after a sleepless night and (b) I get baaaad migraines when I run on no sleep and I def don't want one of those bad boys on my wedding day!!
