Miss Frenchbulldog - THANKS! Its hard to see in the pic, but there is actually a diamond on top of each prong too...I need a better camera...we're getting engagement pictures taken on the 30th of this month, so I'm hoping our photog can get some good ones for me!
SweetheartDealer - I think that is probably the best my hands have ever looked...I gave myself a french manicure the day that he proposed because I was suspecting it was coming...good thing I did that! I keep joking with him that if grad school doesn't end up working out for me, I have a future as a hand model...haha!

Your ring is beautiful! We are looking into buying a Michael M. ring and were wondering what size the centre stone is in your ring?
First off, your ring is gorgeous! Congrats!
Is Michael M the same thing as Michael B?? Or a branch of the same designer? We saw Michael B rings at the Michael C. Fina store and thought they were gorgeous. Your ring looks similar to the Michael B Princess (with diamond prongs and tips). Unfortunately for us (or me) the setting alone was 10k.. eeks!
To answer your question about loose stones. I have 200 little pave set diamonds in my e-ring and have not lost a single one in the last year. I don't think it's "normal" to lose stones.. I would be a bit worried..

I fell IN LOVE with Michael B when he was at my local jewelers before I was engaged. It was also before we decided to not get a diamond ring...but I love his designs!
I googled Michael M and it's a different designer.. Sorry like my name says.. I'm confused! Haha. They just look super similar in design so -my apologies!

@ConfusedBride2012: I haven't actually lost a stone ever...it just was loose...slightly. Thankfully, Michael M has a lifetime warranty on the diamonds (minus the center stone of course); if one does fall out for some reason, they replace it free of charge. So that is good! Anyway, I've had the ring for 19 months and we've had no issues at all!
@napabridekelsey: Nope, Michael B must be a different designer than Michael M, just a similar name! Mine is definitely Michael M collection... http://www.michaelmcollection.com/bridal.asp I don't think they sell my particular setting anymore, but there are a lot of really pretty options. The Michael B settings are really pretty too though - I took a peek since you posted the link!

I was wondering if anyone else has a piece from Michael M!!! I was so thrilled when my fiance popped the question and I saw that it was indeed one from the collection! They just launched in October 2008, so I realize that not a ton of people would have them yet...but the micropave is so unique and wonderful, I can't stand it!
Anyone else have a Michael M...or one similar? With so many diamonds in it, they told me that I have to make sure to watch out for loose stones, since there are so many of them in there...price to pay for such a beautiful effect I suppose. I got it on June 13, and my fiance and I took it in on Tuesday, and there was already a loose stone...grrrrowl! We fixed it thankfully...anybody with a Michael M ring have the same thing happen???
