My wedding colors are peacock teal blue and orange. No peacock feathers per fiance, but I really love that blue color! Reminds me of the blue diamonds in my ring!  I haven’t purchased much yet design wise since the fabric that I fell in love with is $600 a bolt /angryface. It’s a shame, it’s like the PERFECT color too 🙁

Yes. My colors were teal, purple, silver and peacock accents. I will try and post some photos tomorrow.

I’m calling ours peacock ‘inspired’. Bridesmaids will be in varying shades of blue and teal. Table linens will be deep teal, black, and antique gold.

There will be eye feathers on our paper stuff (invites, table numbers, etc) and sword feathers in bouquets and boutonnières.

LadyPeacockk:  because most peacock feathers for sale come from the illegal poaching trade in India. It is a cruel practice especially when used in the materialistic prettify my wedding way.

julies1949:  Yeah, I know but when I measured what I’d need, it’s just shy of a bolt! I think I just fell in love with that one color so much but yeah, I may have to be picking my next best instead. It’s bizarre how expensive fabric is!

LadyPeacockk:  He’s just not down with the feathers And the blue color is most important to me, not so much the “suite” of colors that are in the feathers. I’m thinking of using some of those orchids as well!

LadyPeacockk:  So the use of just a few of them here and there justifies killing such a beautiful animal. Ok then. Any wonder there is an illegal trade in them with thinking like that.

I am a peacock bride! My vision for my wedding is all ivory with peacock feather accents. the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, centrepieces will all have peacock feathers. I am struggling with what do do for my centrepieces. I recently posted a photo of my DIY centrepiece but it didn’t turn out as expected.

I purchased over 200 feathers from a farmer who has several peacocks, and he sold me their feathers for pretty cheap. I just posted an add on Kijiji.
