Yep, I’m a redhead.  With the same blond eyelashes and eyebrows.

Funny story- I used to teach English as a second language classes.  I had one student, a Korean lady named Joy (completely fitting name, she was a sweetheart)- we were going over body terms, specifically the face.  eyes, nose, etc.  All of a sudden she stops, leans in and stares at my face very closely and gets really excited:  “your, your…..”  she can’t think of the word so she draws eyelashes, and I give her the word: “your eyelashes!  You have them!  They are…..”  and then I teach her blond.  It was so funny.  I think she thought I didn’t have eyelashes. (I often don’t wear make-up)

Anyway- when I do wear make-up, I get it from http://www.justforredheads.com/, and I love it.  All of their colors look good on me.  I  think brown mascara is the darkest I would do- I usually actually use auburn.  I have a friend who has gotten eyelashes and eyebrows dyed before- I think she liked it.  Although check out this specifically: http://www.justforredheads.com/browzaangel.html   Its better than any other eyebrow make-up I’ve tried.

I’m a brunette, but I have several close friends who are redheads, so I read your thread :). I just wanted to say that my mom actually got her eyebrows died because they’re a very light brown, and they looked really great! I would definitely try it in advance so you can find the right color, though :).

I always dye my eyebrows and I think it makes my face more uniform. I buy most of my make up from MAC. I have had them do my make up several times to figure out which colors were right for me. Eye lashes, sorry I have never worn them, but I would also like to check them out.

I’m a redhead, and wore false lashes on my wedding-day and used black mascara. For makeup colors, she used some bronze/gold on my eyes, as well as some other colors in that color family, and then blush and a medium berry sort of color on my lips.

It was YoungBlood makeup…I can’t find a pic on this computer of a close up of my face, but here’s a couple pics which sort of give you an idea of what the makeup looked like. Hope this helps!

ive got red hair too blonde eye brows & lashes too. i tell you what i like when i get dressed up. i use brown eye make up–liner & eye shadow. & then i use black mascara, it really makes my eyes pop!! then i used some of the lighter brown shadow to fill in my eye brows. just kinda use hair like strokes when applying. i really like this effect & you dont have to dye your eye brows. i know you’re thinking i dont have brown hair but for some reason the brown mixed with the blonde makes a good matching tone for my eye brows anyway-you might try it out before the wedding & take some pictures & see how they look in the pics too. if you do dye your eye brows…do it as an experiement before the wedding first. ive seen some ppl get theirs jacked up & they want you to wait 2 weeks before coming back bc the chemical is too harsh on skin below the eye brow. just word to the wise

@Asparagus:

First of all I think that dying your eyebrows is a great idea. Having pale eyebrows can really wash a person out. (I’m blonde with very light ashy-blonde eyebrows and I’ve recently discovered how much better I look when I darken them up a bit). I definitely recommend trying it out a few times before your wedding though.

As far as colors to wear, I love jewel tones on redheads. I also think that coppery-browns look amazing!

I think that if you plan on doing fake eyelashes, you should just go for black. I think it will really make your eyes stand out more, and I don’t think it will look odd at all with your coloring. Most of the redheads I know wear black mascara normally anyways…or at least when they’re fancifying their look. And yes I know fancifying isn’t a real word.

I would look up Christina Hendricks for makeup inspiration…she always looks so beautiful:)

Redhead, with light eyebrows and lashes. Eyebrows are so light I have to use a pencil to darken them into the despired boxy then tapered eyebrow shape. I actually prefer the lighter smokey eyeshadow palettes on me. The dark ones are too clashy with my ultra pale and freckled skintone. Just a bit too harsh for me.

Wow, I just realized this is an old post, because I was just looking for redhead posts in general, lol.

But one more thing to add, I just recently bought the Naked palette from Urban Decay, and its amazing!
