I’m getting married at the beginning of October, and after teaching 6th grade for 4 years I am moving down to 1st…at a new school!!  Needless to say, I have a lot on my mind (school starts in 2 1/2 weeks)!! I am sure everything will come together, but I am constantly going back and forth-thinking about the classroom….then the wedding…then (yikes!) the class again….!!!

My wedding was planned for September 2010, originally. I work in Special Education Needs. One of the deciding factors in changing the wedding date was not being able to take nearly 25 days off work!

I’m getting married in mid-october, and i teach 2nd grade. I’m hoping that by then the kids will be ok with me taking a week and a half off for the wedding/honeymoon! 🙂 i do have a paraprofessional with me everyday, and a special education teacher in the afternoons, so I think that should help a lot with me being out. I’m just going between school-related planning and wedding projects- but, when I get tired of one, I switch to the other! i’m not looking forward to writing sub plans for that week and a half right before the wedding though….

I’m not a teacher exactly but I am a PhD student with teaching responsibilities at the University. I had to ask my professor for the vacation days (3 weeks total) over a year in advance and luckily she allowed me to move my modular course to the middle of October in order to accomodate my honeymoon.

I’m a teacher (Prep & Grade 1) and I’m getting married in November. It’s my first year out, I’m planning a wedding and we’re building a house. So it’s been a VERY busy year! Lucky for me by the time November rolls around we’ll be towards the end of the year so I think my kids will cope okay with me having a week and a half off. I’ve actually found the wedding a nice distraction to the overwhelmingly HUGE responsibility of teaching. It’s been nice to have a project that doesn’t involve lesson planning or reports and that kind of thing! And everytime I get stressy about school I just think about how fun our wedding/honeymoon is going to be and I feel better! LOL

I’m getting married Sept. 18th and I was a teacher but was laid off at the end of April. I’m looking for a job now and slightly stressing that I’m getting married and going on my honeymoon the third week of school!

I am totally stressing also…just started school and have been teaching for 6 years, so I should feel comfortable…though just bought a house and we are renovating the kitchen…I am super excited, but I feel like I am not appreciating everything bc there is soooo much to do…Can’t wait for the honeymoon!!!
