I am glad to see that I am not the only Sept 2013 bride out there who is already planning!
I have my venue booked..and we are finalizing the church.. havent really started on much else. I know my colors but I am struggling with finding them in real life (I found them online)… any one have suggestions?
I’ve been searching and searching all of the wedding sites for ideas and its so hard to visualize everything.. anyone else having that problem?
Plus..I like nature and all..but I don’t want my wedding to be overly rustic or overly outdoors.. does that make sense? One of my friends said that fall weddings tend to be more nature themed..but do they have to be?

Hi!! I’m 9-28-13 too!!
I booked the venue and the band, and am interviewing wedding planners at the end of the month. I live in a different state than my wedding, but my family lives there so I come back a lot to visit (6 hour drive).
You can do whatever you want!! Where is your wedding? Mine’s in So Cal so the end of Sept is probably the nicest weather of the whole year (average high 76, low 65). I’m going for a summery/romantic/classic feel- champagnes and light pinks, nothing rustic at all! My ceremony is outside and reception is in a ballroom. I haven’t chosen my “official colors” for bridesmaids and stuff, but I have a general idea of soft floral colors. What are you thinking??

I am 9/28/13!!!! We have booked the place (we will get married and have the reception at the same place) i have asked my girls and we have our photographer, but i think i will start doing more maybe around august! I hope the next 15 months go by fast! colors i am not sure i wanted champagne at 1st and now i am thinking navy blue with maybe grey suits and fall colors for flowers (reds, oranges, purples)

Since we live in the city and the bridal market is competative, we are basically finished with booking. So far, we’ve got:
All have deposits in and are ready to roll. Now we get to sit back and relax for a bit.

Awesome! Go us 9/28!
@Runner- SoCal will be so pretty! I am in MD.. so we have the beautiful falls here..i just dont want a bunch of leaves on my tables you know? The colors I love are Terracotta, Pumpkin, and Chocolate. So its girlie but not too rustic.. My guy doesnt care about the colors but he is being good about helping me look for center pieces and what not. My ceremony will be in a church and the reception in a ballroom. My guy didnt want an outdoors wedding because he was afraid of sweating to death in his tux (he is a naturally hot person..which is nice for me because I’m always cold :))
@Kayla.. Oh i know.. I hope this next year flys by! I have a consultation with a photographer but nothing booked yet. The coordinator at our venue told us to wait until Feb because more bridal shows would be in town and we could strike a good deal.. is that too long to wait? I dont know the first thing about photographers! We did book our DJ..so I am happy about that.. i thought about doing a grey too as one of my colors.. but with our area being so full of other colors..i wanted something with color!
@ohmy.. wow you are ahead of the game! you deserve a break!!

Yey! We just booked yesterday so I am officially a 28th September 2013 bride too! I am in LOVE with my venue, I had decided it was my favourite since before we were engaged but didn’t want to enquire about availability until the proposal actually happened.
We got engaged a month ago and I then found out that pretty much every Friday and Saturday is already booked in 2012 and 2013 and 2014 is already getting booked up too. Clearly I’m not the only girl that loves it! I decided to give up on the dream venue as i didn’t want to wait until 2014 to get married (I’ve already waited 8 years for the engagement!) so started looking elsewhere. I lined up viewings at other venues for this past weekend, however my mum decided to ring my favourite venue last week to ask if they’d had any cancellations…… and they had a Saturday in September! We asked them to hold the date for us and we went to visit it along with 4 other venues. It was even nicer in real life than in the pictures and was the nicest place that we saw all weekend.
I’m so excited that now I have I date I can start booking other things too. Yey!

We are finalizing a September 28th date with our venue too!! Will be signing the contract in the next week or so! We also have asked our wedding party and have ideas for a florist and photographer but that is about it. Our colors are going to be royal blue and shades of purple. It’s so fun! 🙂

cubarican- Haha, yes I know! No leaves! Your colors are fall-ish anyway, so that works! I don’t think you need to go rustic at all. That’s funny about your Fiance, I hope he stays cool! I am going with suits over tuxedos, but I don’t think it will be too hot for us.
askja- That’s great you got your venue! Ours wasn’t really planned either, we were thinking Sep 1 but someone had a hold on it so we got them to give us the Sunday rate for Saturday the 28th!
purplelover13- Congrats on setting your date! I’m going to ask my wedding party this week, though they all know already 🙂
ohmybears- Nice! You’re all set!
Kaylaj- Pretty! I don’t want the time to pass too fast because it’s so fun! I’ve been on cloud 9 since getting engaged, I’m actually not too antsy. I just spend a lot of time on wedding websites haha.

Another 9/28/13 bride here! 🙂
We have our Church, venue, caterer (came with venue), DJ, and photographer. We have narrowed down our photobooth to two and in general taking advantage of any sales/coupons (craft supply, flip flops, vistaprint etc). We’re trying to take care of all the big ticket items before the prices go up.
@cubarican17: Pinterest has been super helpful! Also, we’ve gone to a few bridal fairs just to get ideas. . .look for free coupons online.

As of today, 15 months to go!!

I am! After changing the date like 15 times. I think we are set on Sept 28th. Well only because the venue will not change the date anymore :p
I have bought my dress…and so far thats it. I have not decided on a color scheme. I think that part is the most frustrating.

Another Sept 28th here. So far we have booked the venue which includes food and DJ, have the ceremony musicians (friends of mine), and we have an appointment to meet with the photographer that we want.

lybarra- Hi! I live in AZ too! (my wedding is in CA though). What is your venue??
I am working on hiring a wedding coordinator, but haven’t quite done it yet (I can’t decide!!). Next up with be photographer in the next month or two.

@RunnerBride13: We are having our wedding at the Radisson in Tucson. We had thought about having it in San Diego, but it was much easier and cheaper to have it in Tucson!
@lybarra: Yes, AZ is way cheaper!!! I grew up in SD and my family lives there and we won’t even live in AZ when we have our wedding so it made more sense to have it there. The Radisson looks lovely!
