Any other University of Pheonix brides?

@pandaroo:  If your work is paying for UoP then go for it.  Otherwise check into some of the not-for-profit schools.

 

i’m biased because I work for an online not-for-profit, but we have recieved ex-UoP students in droves and the horror stories about the financial aid is quite scary.

@pandaroo:  I would pay for an accredited university rather than go to University of Phoenix.  Your company may consider it a “real” school, but a lot of companies don’t consider it a true educational organization.  They accept anyone and are basically a degree mill.   Rutgers, on the other hand, is a legitimate university and will be respected by almost everyone you encounter.

@peachacid:  +10000 UoP is not a real school by 99% of companies, and you’ll basically be stuck at that one company for the rest of your life.

I would also avoid UOP if possible. It’ not a well respected school. Almost all universities have online programs these days, so look into that!
