@lauramiller17:  Mine is untreated. I really like it, and I like the warmness to it. However, I did want it to be treated, but DH apparently didn’t quite understand what that meant and how to do it at the time. I don’t notice it a ton, but mine is set it yellow gold. I can’t say for sure, but if I were getting it in white gold or platinum, I would really consider getting the treatment. Then again, I don’t know if it would seem less warm in a “silver” metal.

How big is your center stone going to be? You can avoid a lot of warmth without upgrading if you keep your center stone under 1 ct.

I got something very similar to that setting except without the trellis. Mine is also from Moissanite Co. It was very pretty and well made.  Since it is a solitaire I think you would be fine getting an unenhanced moissanite.

@lauramiller17:  These days FBs are not treated. Both FB and unenhanced are cut from the same whiter rough. I saw some amazing unenhanced stones recently purchased by others. You should ask MoCo to pick the whitest stone for you from the new rough. How big is the centre stone going to be?

@lauramiller17:  I have the sol297 – the double prong with surprise stones, 0.75ct round forever brilliant enhanced stone. I originally had an RB but wasn’t happy with the green tinge and unclear facets – it looked kind of dusty? I don’t know how to describe it. I sent it back for the RB to be replaced with an OEC (forever brilliant enhanced again) and it’s amazing. Much brighter and clearer than the RB stone.

If I were you, I’d consider getting an OEC stone. It has the look I hoped to get from the RB stone – sparkly and clear rather than glittery.

Definitely get it enhanced. Mine is only 0.75ct and it was enhanced and there was still a noticable tinge with the RB.

That is the ring I originally wanted.  So gorgeous! Mine is basically the same as sommertime’s  just without  surprise diamonds. I  have a 1ct untreated RB  and I  do see warmth in it in a lot of different lighting. I  would go with amora or FB  if I  had a bigger stone.

@lauramiller17:  For size reference, I got a 1 carat equiv and I have a size 5 finger.  Since your setting looks very similar to mine I’m assuming it is also 3mm in width for the band.  I eventually switched settings because I didn’t like how thick the band looked- but if you like a thicker band then go for it!

A 1.25ct unenhanced stone will definitely show some color. (some people like it but I do have to warn you that it is not just “color”, it is more like a dull buttery green yellow- not very pretty in certain light)
