My FI has some culinary degree and he works in a restaurant too. I have to give you props because it isn't easy.
Ferrets are adorable and hilarious, you're very lucky to have two! Fish used to make me uncomfortable but FI has some fish he used for a small aquaponics garden. They are now just pet fish.
If you're a dork then I'm a dork.
Pikachu is cute and if I were to pick a pokemon I think I would go for an eevee. Or charmander. I am very indecisive.
Yoshi is my favorite Mario character! Toad is a close second.
I'm in Philadelphia,PA . I just left my job of 4+ years due to stress and health problems but now I feel so much better just focusing on school and relaxing!
I am a sophomore (should be a junior but I changed majors) in International Business with a minor in MIS.
I co-own a cat with FI. The cat lives with FI, we don't live together yet but the cat clearly prefers me haha.
I don't have a favorite animal but my favorite color is green. I collect shotglasses but I rarely use them, I just prefer to look at them.
FI proposed Christmas day last year in the Magic Kingdom park in Disney World. (Side note, I never cared for Disney stuff till FI and his family took me to Disney World for the first time and I really enjoyed it!)
I am having a civil ceremony in 30 days, then the "big church wedding" will take place in another year or so.

I am also a NEPA bride! I looked in this topic but hadn't seen anyone post recently so I passed it up. I am from the Wilkes-Barre area and am attending college in the Harrisburg area. I will be graduating this May with a degree in accounting. I got engaged about 3 weeks ago and FI are looking to plan a May/June 2013 wedding. Haven't been able to find any venues near home that meet what I'm looking for but I'm still on the search! Have you booked a venue yet?

As for booking a venue I am trying my best to have it be somewhere other than the place i work. Not that the people here arent lovely, they really are! I just want them to come, plus it would suck having to cook my own dinner in a wedding dress! lol
I'm not a bride anymore, but I do live in PA, around Harrisburg.
I've been married for a little over a year, and DH and I are currently living with my SIL and her two girls while we resettle here. DH just got a great job at a bicycle part distribution center. I'm not working right now, I'm helping SIL with the kids (getting everyone up and to school, laundry, picking up the little one from school, after school care, speech therapy, etc). We're planning on renting the house next door so I can continue helping with the kids, and because SIL is my BFF.
Um...we lived in Pittsburgh for a year before here (there are a lot of bees out there!), and we lived in Philadelphia for 4 years before that. I'm originally from New Orleans via and DH is from Rochester, NY.
We have 3 cats, and they have DH well-trained. My favorite animal is a kitten, my favorite color is pretty much any jewel tone (but amethyst purple and turquoise blue in particular). We just found out we're pregnant with our first child, due in August.
We like to drink cheap red wine and watch HIMYM, The Walking Dead, True Blood, or Star Trek, The Next Generation. Well, not so much with the wine for me, now. He's finishing off the last bottle we got, and I stare and pout.

FI and I love the walking dead. We're so sad that we have to wait till feb 12 to see the next episode. What does HIMYM stand for?
@imalittlebirdie We still haven't seen the last aired episode. I have it recorded, but we haven't had time to watch it yet :(

I live in Philadelphia! But only for a few more weeks.. then I'm studying abroad! I came out here to go to law school and I have definitely enjoyed my time here. Philly has AMAZING upscale restaurants!
The only things i cannot get used to are the jaywalkers and the pot holes! Oh.. and state regulated alcohol is pretty inconvenient.. although I will say that I drink significantly less these days!
@imalittlebirdie: Im not a PA bride but my ex lived outside of Wilkes-Barre in the town of West Pittston. After spending 2 weeks there I now know the area pretty well haha...I would always make fun of the Forty-Fort because it sounds so stupid.
I know people in West Pittston. They had really bad flooding there with hurricane Lee. Houses were floating down the river. I live in Tunkhannock. ( Ton- can-ick for those who never saw the towns name before).
Ok I'm in! I've been on this site for a while now, but never came across this board! I'm from NEPA, Scranton Area, specifically Blakely. I work from home for an insurance company. I have no pets but my FH and I have 2 little girls, ages 4 and 2. Built in flower girls!! I love blue and am trying to work it in to our Garden wedding in September. I have a BA in communications and have been engaged since Feb. I love the Avett Brothers and my FH proposed at one of their shows!

Just wanted to say Hello! I see a lot of brides from down south and west, and even NJ but rarely any PA brides! Introduce your selves!
I'm from NE PA, around the Wilksbarre, scranton Area. I work as a cook at a resteruant/bar/venue. I am a Senior in undergrad College majoring in English and Psychology. I have 2 Ferrets, 2 dogs, and a fish. My favorite animal is a platypus, and I like the color teal. I have a collection of Pikachus and yoshis ( I am a dork). I have been engaged since August, and will be married just before I finish my masters in councling.
