Hey Philly girls how are you doing tonight? Where are you getting married? Any questions, comments?! We're getting married at Glen Foerd Historical Mansion in 2 months and 27 days!!! I just sent out the invites today!

My wedding is at Bartram's Garden, but not until May 2011.
I was born in Philly! Don't live there anymore though, and my dad moved Maryland.

Hi there! I'm in NYC, but getting married in Wilmington. So not exactly Philly, but close. And there's never any activity on the Delaware board!
I was born at Pennsylvania Hospital I think. Don't remember exactly where we lived, it's sort of a run down area now though.
I moved to Seattle from Philly in the end of 2008. I still consider myself from Philly. *Tear*
I miss cheesesteaks, Rita's, Wawa, dunkin donuts, Philly Pretzel factory. Yum, now I'm getting hungry. Oh, Chickfila.
Whenever I go home, I load up on all of that stuff.

Hey Ladies! I'm a philly girl, although I live in NYC now for work. All the wedding events will be in Center City, I'm very excited! I'm from Media/Swarthmore.
Hi Ladies! I too am getting married in Philly - although I live in nyc. I am getting married over labor day weekend at Cairnwood in Bryn Athyn. My family lives in Haverford.
So glad there is so much philly activity on the boards!

hey D=) i'm having my reception down in philly..originally from washington twp but moved up north to lodi/hackensack for work..we're having our reception at the pyramid club=) mmm..all of that food is making me huuuungry!!!
hey! FI is a New Yorker and i'm a central pennsylvanian by birth, but we're recent philly transplants thanks to college. love philly, but we won't be getting married here...hope that doesn't make me a traitor! :X

@D.Marie - Plans are going well...just feel like I still have a million little things to take care of! I'm excited about the Moshulu - we were looking for something a little different. I've been to a wedding at the Glen Foerd mansion before and it was so gorgeous there...you must be really looking forward to it!

@Tulip... We're so excited!! I love it there, its so beautiful outside and in. Even if it rains outside there is so much inside for pictures. The Moshulu looks like an amazing place to get married...it's so neat! I had that feeling of rushing around to get everything done a few weeks ago and yesterday I finally sent out the invitations and made some phone calls and now I feel like a world of worry has lifted from my shoulders! I just cant wait to walk down that aisle! :)

What is a Dana? So far I have Cliff Mautner, Aleksandra Ambrosky, Marcus Aman (hair), D Videography, and am contemplating Queen of Hearts but just can't commit.
How about you?
So far, we've only booked our venue. Bartram's Garden.
But we're close to booking a few more. Tentatively there is:
1. Caterer: Shackamaxon Caterers
2. Florist: Flowers by Mary Elizabeth
3. Photography: Morrissey Photo
4. Tent Rental: Ocean Tents
Forgot! I'm also using beautiful blooms for all the flowers and decor. I wouldn't recommend them though, wish I never sent the deposit. Oh well!

@ Dana, I contacted Mary Elizabeth but thought I could find someone closer after I realized where she was located. I know she does flowers for philadelphia but I wanted to be able to see the flower shop and stuff and didnt want to drive to her!
Modern Im sorry about Beautiful Blooms...they seemed pricey for our budget. Who is Queen of Hearts?

Another day working from home for me! I didn't even have to go out today - fantastic! I worked on wedding stuff all afternoon. Woo!
ooo thats exciting! Yeah this snow is crazy! What wedding stuff did you work on?
I'm making a bunch of paper flowers, so I was working on painting petals. Tonight I'm going to continue on that plan and print the cards for our guestbook - I'm making business-card sized cards with little sentence starters on them (ie "Love is...") and have them stacked with little envelopes near a bowl with pens. We have 2 printed cards and 1 blank one. My hope is to have them all at least printed tonight. I'm running out of time so I gotta get movin'!
