Hi I’m a plus size UK size 16/18 and I’ve tried on the chrystelle or something very similar ( didn’t see the name but no it was maggie sottero) & the Kirby & they are both very flattering! I was very much expecting them to look horrible but the drop waist was so flattering on my shape! I’ve actuallt bought the divina as I love that silhouette. & dress so much! go for it xx

edited to say I didn’t get pictures as the boitique didn’t allow it & I was on my own

I tried the Maggie Sottero Juliette on, which is very similar (in my opinion) to the Jalissa. They are both stunning. I am a size 18 and tried on an 8 sample in the Juliette. It was my DREAM dress but I ended up getting a different dress since I couldn’t justify the price of the MS. Here is the Juliette:

MissBling:  I tried on the ML 3140 (the blinged out one) after stalking it in magazines. It was totally not flattering. Satin is very unforgiving, so if your tummy is not flat you might not like the way it looks.

Omg, the Maggie Sottero Jalissa is my DREAM DRES!!!! I haven’t even started looking at boutiques in my area, is it the kind of dress that would be normally stocked?

rachel85:  Jalissa was my dream dress too (or so I thought until I found Primrose!) but it was harder to find than I thought. I live in CT and called about 8-10 bridal shops that carried Maggie dresses before I found one that had her as a sample. I found out that all shops do not have the same type of dresses, even if they all carry the same designer! I’d say if you really want to try her on, go to Maggie Sottero’s website and look for all of the shops in your area that carry Maggie gowns and then call asking specifically for Jalissa, most were super polite and told me if they didn’t have her, they had others very similar, so jot those names down too! Good luck!

Jas00:  I actually tried on something very similar in silhouette to the blinged out Mori Lee, and found the shape ridiculously flattering on me. That said, I don’t have a flat stomach, but the boning in the dress I tried on worked miracles!

I bought a Maggie Sottero from a former bride.  I don’t know exactly which one it is but I know what I like.  I’m a street sz 16 the dress is a sz 20.  I’ve noticed that various Maggie Sottero dresses are popular with plus size ladies.  Personally I think her dresses are super flattering.
