My standard poodle is my life :) I can't wait til we're in a house so we can get her a brother or a sister! My parents have a spoo too, he's the dog that got me hooked.

so cute! we were going to get a toy poodle or poodle mix soon but decided that with all the wedding planning craziness and having to travel to where our wedding will be (4 hours away) fairly often, that we just won't have enough time to properly train a new puppy. so we'll be waiting until after the wedding :( it makes me sad but i know we made the right decision.
meanwhile my parents adopted an 8 yo toy poodle last month and she has been very sick, so keep her in your thoughts. she is the sweetest dog and my parents have just fallen in love with her, so we are really hoping she pulls through. things have been looking up this week!

Oh I love this post! I don't have a poodle of my own - but grew up with them, and my family still has our 14 year old standard!
In our apartment, we can't have pets, but the first sign of a big enough space that allows pets, I'm bringing home a poodle!

I don't have a poodle. But I do have a Dog who has been Diagnosed with Addison's Disease. Which I've heard is very common among Poodles.... just an FYI incase your babies start acting strange!!! It's been a tough couple months but my DANA is now happy & healthy with her medicine!!!

This is my babyy! She is currently sitting in my lap as I type licking my fingers making it extremely difficult to type! Haha.
But I love her soo much. She's Purebred, papers and everything. I was so lucky to find her. My FI got a Husky and unfortunately got Mange and so we were at the vet and a breeder came in while I was playing with another puppy and she made a statement about her breeding puppies so I went and saw them and the first puppy she handed me was Lunabelle. Her tail was wagging 100 mph. It was adorable and I fell in love and here we are! I take her with me EVERYWHERE! She's my pride and joy!(:

I loooooove Standards! My MIL and SIL have mini's but there's nothing like a standard. I (and many) personally am not a fan of poodle crosses. I think it's a very unfortunate thing and has led to a lot of dogs ending up in shelters... but that's all I'll say on the topic :/
There's nothin' like the original pure poodle. It's the only breed to be completely the same in 3 sizes and the most intelligent (depending on source sometimes tied at the top).

I looked back a ways and couldn't find a good poodle appreciation thread. I love the little guys, and have a little apricot one of my own named Loki.
