I wasnt nauseous by 6 weeks.. I just had a metallic taste in my mouth. The nasea came about a week or so later for me. But I only ever threw up once.
Six weeks is still early for m/s. I only started getting mildly nauseous in the morning at that point. I threw up twice total somewhere between six and eight weeks, so it still could be coming for you, and if it doesn't as you know that's still normal for some people :)
I am almost 19 weeks and never had any morning sickness. I literally had about 2 afternoons around week 11 where I felt nauseous but that's all. I had a few food aversions, but nothing bad.
I was a little freaked out by no nausea, but according to doay's ultrasound we are having a healthy baby : )
I'm 37 1/2 weeks and I never had nausea and I every ultrasound I've had said my little girl is just fine. :-)
I didn't have morning sickness with my daughter, and she was/is perfectly healthy and I had an easy pregnancy all around.
I had zero nausea or morning sickness. I threw up one time when I was cooking dinner and I think it was just the smell that made me queasy. I'm 27 weeks now and having a totally healthy, normal pregnancy.
When I was prego I didn't have morning sickness at all and I also was not sensitive to smells. Now that I think about it I didn't have cravings either I was only tired and my breast hurt. I now have a healthy 3 year old :) So just be happy you don't have morning sickness not everyone gets it.
I never had any morning sickness with my son! My mom didn't have morning sickness with me or my brother. So here is hoping if we ever have another child I don't have morning sickness again
I am 13-weeks and I have not experiecened any morning sickness to this point (and now I should be out of the woods). I noticed that if I don't eat when I start getting hungry then I start to feel a little naseous, but it is preventable by just eating when I do get hungry and not putting it off.
I recently learned that both my sister (3 kids) and my mom (4 kids) were MS free during their pregancies so I am hoping that I fully inherited that gene!
I didn't have any m/s and now I'm just beginning to get nauseous and gag at almost any smell (I'm 11 weeks). I wouldn't worry yourself. My mother didn't have any nausea and I haven't actually vomited...yet. Enjoy, it might come around later;)
10.5 weeks here and no puking...even with twins! I had some nausea/indigestion/heartburn/starving type symptoms kick in sometime around 6 weeks, but it's totally variable day to day and skewed much more toward hunger in the early weeks. And my lightheadedness and tiredness were much more pervasive in early pregnancy than any of my tummy symptoms.
Have you asked your mom what her pregnancies were like? I was kind of worried that I wasn't sicker, and then she told me that she never threw up and was only occasionally sick, and was mostly hungry with both my sis and I. That made me feel more reassured that it was just good genetics and not anything to worry about :)
@MerryC -
My mom was sick most of her pregnancy with my older sister. I don't think she was quite as sick with me.
My sister was sick for 5 months with her 1st, but with her 2nd she only got sick 2-3 times (her prenatal vitamin upset her stomach, she didn't get sick after she switched to Flintstones).
It might not come until 8-9 weeks if ever at all. Plenty of women skip it entirely. Once I switched vitamins I never got sick again so I wonder if it was actually real morning sickness at all!
13 weeks and no puking for me, but I do get nauseous regularly! But if I eat every 3-4 hours, and it doesn't have to be much, then it goes away. The key for me is just to eat something, even if I don't want to.
It's still early but I sure hope this is it for the morning sickness *knock on wood*! We just got back from our NT scan and all looks normal
No Morning Sickness with either pregnancy-except the one morning I took the Prenatal vitamins on an empty stomach with grape juice.
I started feeling really queasy around 6 and a half weeks, and didn't throw up until 7 and a half. I'm usually okay if I don't let my stomach get empty, and don't take my prenatals without food.
@abbyful: I'm right where you are in terms of pregnancy, six weeks. I've been getting more nauseous lately, but only when I don't eat. I've been gagging more and more since last weekend. I'm definitely more tired, but not exhausted. I sleep more than before, but can still manage to stay up late. I just got a weird flutter on my left side today, but that's been about the only weird thing thus far.
Lucky! i prided myself on being healthy as a horse..but this pregnancy (my first) is kicking my butts. I've had sickness (morning, noon and night) for the past 2 months. I'm into my 10th week maybe? I've thrown up more times than I can count..even water is not staying down. Other than that, all my tests have been excellent. Hoping the second trimester is easier on me. :(
I take back what I wrote earlier. I was miserable with nausea all day yesterday! I'm hoping it's the jet-lag aggrivating it and it ends soon!
I am now 35 weeks and never had an ounce of nausea! In fact, up until last week I had absolutely no ailments whatsoever. Now I have Fred Flintstonf feet, sciatica and sore hands and wrists.
I totally felt the same way when I was first pregnant. I actually wished for morning sickness to make me "feel" pregnant. I just felt like without the stereotypical symptoms, something must be wrong. So far so good though, so enjoy it and be thankful!
I started throwing up around 7 weeks, as in I threw up I think one time in my 7th week then started feeling the nausea all the time and being sick often around 8/9 weeks until now. Some women never get sick at all, my sister has has three vomit free pregnancies and only a little nausea, and my mother has said the same thing. My sister in law and some friends never had any nausea either. It's really different for every woman. Sometimes I think women beat themselves up a little about feeling good and not being sick during their pregnancy. If you feel good embrace it and take this time to eat as healthy as possible because if you do end up with morning sickness you may not be able to eat anything but bread and butter.
my mom was sick with me and i am not sick yet either. i am having mild nauesea, acid reflus, gas pains and bloating pains but no really super sick. just very mild carsick type feeling. i am 5 weeks along. i hope we are both having good healthy pregnancys.
I had it the first 3 days, then it went away. Which also alarms me;) So we'll see what happens:( I'm 6 or 7 weeks now(will find out at my US on Jan 5th)
I am almost 16 weeks now and had absolutely NO morning sickness at all. No nausea, no vomiting, and no food aversions. Baby is perfectly healthy right now and the pregnancy is going along just fine. From what I've read, about 25% of women don't get any morning sickness so if it doesn't set in at all, consider yourself lucky!
Also, my mom had three babies and never had a minute of morning sickness either.
I'm almost 9wks and haven't really had any. I felt a little nauseous a few times after eating, but I think it was probably the beginnings of heartburn. Since now I am hungry all the time and get heartburn just about every day! I talked to my mother, her sisters and my grandma and it seems that none of them ever had morning sickness, so maybe I'm just lucky?
my mom and grandmother both said they hardly had any (i did, but hey, that's two without symptoms)
I had no morning sickness at all, and I am 6 1/2 months along. I wouldn't worry as long as your dr. appts. go well and you are not seeing blood or anything, you should be fine. Ask your mother if she had it. My mother had 4 children and had no morning sickness with any of us (boys and girls) so it may be genetic. Congrats!
I had nothing! :)
I only found out I was pregnant (irr cycle) because we were trying and i had an addiction to pregnancy tests haha.
I never got morning sickness in the first trimester. I would get nauseus if I didn't snack regularly but that was about it.
Every other woman in my family has been sick during their pregnancies, but I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow with no m/s at all. Enjoy it, it does make the pregnancy much more enjoyable from what I can see. I'm much less miserable than a lot of my friends have been.
21 weeks tomorrow, no sickness at all, minor bouts of nausea. Indigestion, certainly - can't eat full size meals at all - and the sore boobs were really the only give away. Be grateful. One SIL of mine had no sickness on one boy, was half dead with it on the other. Once the docs are happy with you, once baba is ok, try to enjoy it! I'm only really starting to feel pregnant now because I didn't really feel any different than normal up to this. I'm sure when we pass the 30 week mark we'll be wishing for the easy days again!
Ugh i'm 14w 4d and I've gotten terribly sick the last 2 weeks or so. I was perfectly fine up until the end of my 1st trimester but have thrown up a few times lately.....so much for thinking I was out of the woods. haha Good luck, hope you don't get any sickness at all!!!

I'm 6 weeks, still no puking or nausea. Anybody else? I know those suffering will say I should be grateful, but it makes me nervous that I don't have the hallmark of pregnancy symptoms (morning sickness).
