Sorry, there are no users yet.
I have been working as a social worker for about two years, and have recently become an LMHC (licensed mental health counselor). I am leaving my current job in two weeks (!) because I've become unhappy and burned out. I'm looking for something else in the field, but I also find myself becoming interested in working with young children in a school/preschool context. I do have experience working with young kids--I minored in child development/education and I interned at a day treatment program for very young, emotionally disturbed children.
Can anyone share what sort of training they have had to get a job in this field? I know it varies from state to state (I'm in NYC), but any starting points would be great :) Also, if you do this, do you like your job?
